Stalking is not killing
    #5992085 -

The reason IMO we most often fail at the practice of stalking (for those of you who know that term) is because we are intent on killing.

A wise hunter must know the habits of his prey if he/she is to be confident in her abilities to secure game on a consistent basis and insure survival.

So a hunter spends much time before making that first kill in learning every move and habit that his prey makes. He must resist the urge to kill at the first opportunity or the lessons will not be learned and ultimate failure is surely the result.

This lesson is rarely taken to heart and so failure to change is rampant. :mushroom2:

I often find that prey tends to fall into my lap willingly. All i need to do is sit around with my mouth open

I was going to reply to this thread yesterday, with something signfigant, essentially a reflection of your point in my own manner of expression, but I was sort of tired, and it didn't happen.

Just thought I'd let you know that I contributed to this thread in spirit.

I stalked myself, and I became aware that I was easy prey...

One other thing....if a hunter always got a kill they would be called a killer...not a hunter.
