Jeb Bush?!

ok... im no political major. in fact im pretty dumb. But someone told me recently that george bush's nephew, some hick named jeb, is going to be running in the next election... its too scary to think about. some kind of hick monarchy system where every generation a new redneck bush is elected the new leader of the free world.

someone please tell me this is a joke?

I doubt he will get the nomination, but if you ask anyone in Florida they say hes pretty good.

I think Condi Rice vs. Hillary Clinton would be even worse.

Actually, having Hillary on the ticket at all would be horrible.

well jeb has stated over and over that he would not run for president EVER..... he sais that he has no desire to do so,..... but for some reason i feel hes going to, and comming from someone that doesnt care for republicans all that much, i have to say overall hes not that bad, but he has done a few things to piss me and other floridians off, like that terri schiavo bullshit, i didnt think that was any of his business nor any other government officials business to stick their noses into, thats a family matter and legally her husband had every right to do what he did, without having to fight the state. that and i really wish he would do something to curb all of the damn mexican and brazilians that are flooding just about every job market and taking americans jobs and money just so they can send it back to their families and out of this country. there might have been some other things but none all that important i guess since i have forgotten..... i think all in all hes done a fair-good job with the state..... but would i want him for president?? HELL NO.

just out of curiosity, does anyone have an educated guess on who they think will be on the next ballot?

Out of all the Bush's I like Jeb the best. I can't see him running in the next election though. The writing is on the wall and he probably knows that Americans want a break from the Bush family for a while.

I would look for him to be a strong candidate in 2016.

ok fair enough but doesnt it strike anyone else as horribly wrong that weve even had two members of the same family as leaders of the free world, let alone three?

i mean, this isnt a monarchy. Theoretically, if all that decided the next president was how well he qualified and how many people voted for him, the chances of two members of one family being elected should be ten billion to one... it just shows how power groups are manipulating the whole electoral process. Passing down leadership of a country to your godamn son... its not rite man.

Not at all; as long as they were fairly and freely elected. But the Bush family is not the only one to have multiple members elected as President.

The Adams and the Roosevelts come to mind.

I might be wrong on this one but I think William Henry Harrison was related (however distant) to an earlier President.

His son just got popped for public intoxication, and i believe resisting arrest with violence. His daughter tryed to get a fake xanax skrip filled.
