hehe, blinkidiot is totally right in this case, if on the odd chance you do meet someone who was hostile to you on the boards, the spirit of the gatheirng always lift that veil of terror and creates lasting friendships...

Only time will tell if I go to any.  I value my personal safety, and don't trust the mental instability of certain individuals.  There are so many people here that I'd love to meet up with, though.

Had I known that there were going to be turntables at NE2K5, I would've driven the four hours to the spot and played for you guys.  I'm not really about partaking in certain.... psychedelic activities that are rumored to happen at gatherings, but I'd love to play for you guys.  It'd be like an internet-less Shroomery Radio stream, direct from my vinyl into everyone's brain.  Like mind control.... only with dancy results!  :thirdeyeani: :dancing:

I think certain people, like Adamist, have it in their head that I must be killed, and I doubt a gathering would cool their heels.  I would be willing to leave the BB boards behind me, in the name of having a good time.  I'd even hook Learyfan up with an E pill, if I had one. :smile:

dude, adamist is a hippy at heart, he talks a lot of crap because his emotions go up and down upon a lot of issues (some involving you) but if this guys ever hurt anybody at a gatheirng, i would be utterlly SHOCKED.

man, every time i see you post about raves its always E tard this, junkie that....music music music.....the only thing that matters is music. im sorry you live a life that going out to a party meeting new people and having a good time is so far beyond the limitations you have set yourself. i love the music. and if i couldnt find E, i would go sober, just for the music. but the truth of the matter is i CAN find it, and i like taking it. and what better place to take it than at a rave? E makes the music that i love feel that much better. it really compliments electronic music like no other. and it opens me up. and i talk with people, make friends, give out hugs and smiles......now what the fuck is so wrong with that? how is my being there on a drug ruining the scene that you now refuse to partake in? what makes you so much better than me?

OK, ive been going to raves since 94. There's a huge difference btwn dropping a pill or two and dancing and eating 10 pills, 10 hits of acid, a bottle of K, and some dust. The rave scene has ALWAYS been a shady open air drug market and it always will be. But, when you start going to parties JUST to get fucked up, when you go to a party to get drugs and leave, or when you get so fucked up all you can do is sit down and drool, you're detracting from something that once held a beautiful and positive vibe.

I went to a rave where 12 people overdosed in line. TWELVE FUCKING PEOPLE. Try and tell me there's nothing wrong with that. Before 60 min and every news organization figured out there were drugs at raves that type of thing didnt happen. Sure you got your occasional OD, but nothing on the level that ive seen it on. Kids coming out to a rave because they watched a 60 min reporter review some e tard extolling the virtues of ecstasy as they grind their teeth into shards.

So nowadays, instead of walking into what once felt like a family gathering, you're subjected to a meat market filled with highschool kids on so many drugs its amazing they're able to walk. So yes, electrode, myself, and anyone else who has experienced the rave scene in its infancy definitely has a right to feel like this. Im sure a lot of "hippies" bitch about the same thing, we see something that we hold near and dear to our heart destroyed by a bunch of mindless fucks out to get fucked up and nothing else.

Keep in mind im not accusing leary fan of this, i find nothing wrong with going to a rave to listen to some music while rolling. Im sure his purpose wasnt to go out and buy a 10 pack and gobble them down over the course of an hr. I spin records, i have a production company that throws parties, we all love our music and our drugs, but rarely tak them at parties anymore. After 11 years of getting fucked up at a rave it gets old, its all about the intimate house after parties we throw. And why? Because it FEELS exactly like parties did in the old days. Good music, in a place where you know everyone, and not a worry in the world except the occasional trainwreck and the inevitable sunrise. Nothing can bring the old days back, but, i and others definitely have the right to complain about others who hold no respect or desire to learn about what the rave scene is/was.

Electrode- if you want to record mixes from your tables just go to radio shack, buy an rca to mini plug cord (tell the radio shack guys that they'll know what you're talking about), hook the rca end through the booth out put on your mixer, and the mini plug on the input on your soundcard. Then all you need to do is download a recording program like soundforge and you're set. Hit me up if you need any help.
