 No ecstacy...............at a rave

So my friends and I go to a rave in the woods of West Virginia. They had two DJs, a massage tent and there were people everywhere with glow sticks, glow in the dark bracelets, the whole works. It was a rave.
When we first got there we thought it looked kinda weird. We went around looking for perspective dealers or other rollers, but noticed that no one was carrying on like that. There were no cuddle puddles, no one was dancing with extra intensity and no one was offering to sell pills. People were just drinking and tripping. We ended up asking a lot of people and everyone we asked was also looking. Then a guy my friends know as being a ecstasy dealer came over.........to ask us if we had any pills.  At that point we knew it was hopeless. We still had a good time and talked to lots of really cool people, but never scored any pills. Now come on people. It is a sad, sad state of affairs when you can't get E at a rave in the woods of West Virginia. Like I said, we still had an ok time, but last night was the reason that this smiley was created.

Damn right it sucks. The night was a disaster from the start. First of all, we realized on our way there that NO ONE HAD BROUGHT DIRECTIONS TO THE PARTY. Then we get lost. Then after driving for a while, my friend tells me that everyone in the car had already taken their acid..........INCLUDING THE DRIVER. So after the driver almost gets us literally killed (he pulled right out in front of an on coming car and missed it by an inch), I start driving. It took us a total of 2 hours to find this party that we live relatively close to because we didn't bring directions.

We haven't picked a spot yet.. but it's gonna be on the appalachian trail, either in virginia or maryland. The trail practically runs through your house I bet.

I'll definitely think about it whenever the spot is chosen. If it's not too far away and I don't have to work that weekend I might just do it.
Our next rave will most likely be Buzz (Nations) in DC on September 9th or so for Roni Size.

Heh, I was a Buzz regular many moons ago. I've puked in that place so many times when I was a retarded crackhead raver.
Not quite a rave anymore... more like a meat market club
I got to help set up the decor abck in 1998 at one of their parties, SuperSting. This was right when NEWFORMS was released. I was in the back warehouse area (before it was all glammed out), setting up and Roni Size and his crew came in to practice. I got to watch a whole concert by them, all by myself. Was badass

That's what I'm saying. It was shocking and appalling that there wasn't a pill to be found there. The only people rolling were the few who were smart enough to have some prior to the event. We didn't even have directions, for Christ's sake.

One person who we met who was really cool was a girl named Kelly, who called herself MC PETA. She was talking all kinds of shit about being a big activist for all kinds of things and changing the world. I was impressed. I told her about The Shroomery and The Pub, but she got totally turned off when I told her that people here talk about The Dead a lot.  Oh well.

Hmm, I wonder if you might remember my friend who I went to the party with last night. She was a big time raver in that era. She sold Ketamine at Buzz with her trademarked "Hello Kitty" sticker on each 20 bag. Her bags were supposedly notoriously fat. The night that she decided to "retire" a while back, she took every Ketamine label that she had saved (from the bottles she got) and taped them to her 20 bags. Everyone who bought a bag from her that night got an authentic Ketamine label on their bag. That's incredible.

I wasn't that big on K myself.. just E and acid back in the day. Did she have a 'raver name'? I met shitloads of ppl at buzz, would probably recognize her if i had more to go on. Heh.. was she on the dcraves list?
