Are raves dead...I haven't found one in awhile, been looking for a couple this year and last and nothing; my Asian friend said he is looking for one as we speak, but I doubt it.
What ever happen to the lovable X-users and cokeheads running around during trance/house music. The sound of sweet melodic rythems bouncing off of each others bodies to form some kind of electrical conection that frees you from the worry-some life of the real world, a chance to reach a new level of self-ambition.
Please help!!!!!!!!!

raves dead? in most of the country, yes.
have the raves that still happen today evolved past 1997 in their creativity? not at all.

New olreans has a nice party scene.
There have been a few smaller partys with decent djs in my area as well.
Jackson Ms, has a small psy scene. The whole spouth east has a DnB and breaks scene.
Raving is not dead, just most of the etards that raved are.
Seriously though, you can find a prty just about anywhere,It may not be the biggest one,but hey,its still fun.

Tripping and being around loud psychedelic music is even better.

so, why do you settle for the rave scene that hasnt evolved past what we did in 1996, 1997 instead of trying something novel?

why do you have such high standards for something you believe was more than just a party anyways?

What do you mean "why do I settle"?
Just becaus I like to go to a psytrance party or listen to some DnB doesnt mean all of my trips are at a rave or party. Most of them are in my bedroom by myself or outdoors somwhere by myself.
I wasnt going to partys in 97 anyway.
And just becasue you were doing it a few years ago doesnt mean it isnt fun now.

are we speaking of the fresh cultural movement that happened in the 80s and 90s or the shell of this cultural movement that happens today? what "party" are you referring to?
