Hey I am 240 and 6'4...you sure? I ain't in such bad shape either....in reality I would run from a fight unless I had a reason to fight... like I had no other choice. Fighting for money? It had better be a lot..and will I make extra for agreeing to take a dive?

You put on about 20 pounds and we'll be well matched. The legs don't come off I am afraid, but my reach is slightly short. We could start The Shroomery Fight Club.

Well the deal is we choreograph this and on signal we both let fly and the ref goes down. Sorry Swami, but you pushed us once too often. :frown:

Yeah but the ref getting creamed is usually collateral damage. We take the ref first and the crowd might expect us to fight...with no referee...

Heh, actually my wingspan is 6'4 so for someone my size my reach is enormous.

I've been trying to gain that 20 lbs for the past few years...I can get it with heavy lifting, dieting, etc but the instant I get back to running and riding my bike it disappears.

Using my chi would be an innapropriate display of power for such a primitive contest.

i surely have not read all of this thread, just a few posts from the first page...and i don't know where to start.

first, let me say i have been a fan of the ufc for many years, i have seen most of the matches that can be found at video stores, etc...

hoyce gracie got me hooked off the bat!

how would bruce lee do in the octagon? hahahaha

him, tyson, ali, etc... in their prime would all get wiped up in the octagon.

they would go down so fast it would be pathetic to think that anyone ever praised them for their fighting ability.

the beauty of the ufc is that it is real. in days before the ufc and other toughman like contests...it was boxer vs. boxer, judo vs. judo, karate vs. karate, ad infinitum.....

is that real? hell no.

a wrestler vs. boxer, what? who would think of such a crazy mix?

this sport allows different disciplines to show their stuff against eachother...and time and time again the ufc has redefined what fighting is effective.

yes, there are people who make their way into the ufc who appear to be basic barroom brawlers with absolutely no poetry in their style and if they aren't effective, they fall.

but, some of these brutes are able to drop a 4th degree balckbelt in karate in 30seconds! when a bouncer from chicago whips a world champion in karate, this should make you think long and hard before devoting your life to one specific style of fighting.

this sport has taken the best from every form of fighting and rolled it into a single style. todays ufc barely resembles that of the young one.

instead of a little ju jitsu guy or an amazing striker, dominating the ring...now the ju jitsu guy IS an amazing stiker along with a host of other skills to choose from. it is fighting at it's best.

my father was a boxing coach and i was reared on a 75lb. heavy bag.

as an adult i was definetly a boxing fan, albeit not a total nut. but now i couldn't even tell you who is the current heavy weight champ.

why, because he's not a champ if there are a hundred guys in the ufc who could twist his leg and make him give up like a little girl!

imho...;)

The chi claimants cannot clearly define or measure chi, nor in any way show that it exists. I cannot disprove this any more than you can disprove that guardian angels guide my racquetball shots.

If you pay for a ticket to come to the UK, i will personally introduce you directly to your own chi force, in a matter of fact way, so that your doubt will be completely dispelled, and we can finally put an end to your sceptism on this subject.

This sounds good.  Someone taking the challenge. To make this fair to Swami, I suggest you offer to pay all expenses should you fail to demonstrate said Chi.  Then there is no risk to him.

I can teach most untrained people a kung-fu style punch that is two to three times harder than their previous best in one short session. It is impressive, but is all technique.

Define chi and tell me how I could recognize it when introduced.

so, we can only be introduced to our Chi in the UK?...;)

if you said Korea or some such place, it would be a little easier to swallow. can't the Chi be e-mailed from the UK, i can't afford the ticket to meet him...errr...it?...across the pond.
