Panspermia and Buckyballs

Panspermia evolution theory supported by new report.  The report discusses the finding of buckyballs -- arrays of carbon atoms shaped like the geodesic domes created by architect R. Buckminter Fuller -- in the impact crater at Sudbury, Ontario. This crater was formed by the appulsion of an object about the size of Mount Everest some 1.85 billion years ago. The determination that the buckyballs survived the impact suggests that other carbon-based structures, including those fundamental to life, could also have survived entry.

OK I can't resist.  If you are going to create evolution from panspermia, obviously you have to keep your buckyballs intact and also have survived entry.    :smile:

I saw a show on History Channel about meteors before the ape to man show.  They mentioned panspermia and at the building block level or perhaps even bacterial it made sense.  Lots of debris hitting us with lots of organic molecules etc.
