"UFO's" or black proteins floating across my eye?

For the past couple months now more n' more I've been noticing black shapes against the sky, usually still but sometimes moving.....and not shapes that can be discounted as something else like blimps or uh something else like that. For instance earlier this week before school(6:20) I went outside to smoke a cigarette and yet again I noticed a black oval shaped thing in the sky not too high off the horizon above some trees. I couldn't focus on it, if i did- I couldn't see it. It was distinguable because of light pollution. Anybody else have similar experiences?
What's up?

Yeah your vision might be a little messed up. It may have been from looking at the sun or some bright light for too long. I think they might be, like you said, some protein floating in the eye. I have these things too. Sometimes when I am looking off in the sky or whatever, I notice in my peripheral vision an object, and when I try to look at it, it zips off. It's probably not a UFO if you keep seeing it over and over, but I can see how at first you might think it is. Then again, do you have any marks on your body that you can't explain? JK.

There are things called floaters that are merely fat cells that can sometimes can be seen. But from what your describeing, it reminds me off ultra violet ray damage. Is there any posibility of useing a taning both without safety goggles? Or have you been spending any time close to a mecury vapor HID light? Thats the kind off stuff that they can cause. Might want to have it checked no matter what it turns out to be.

No, I don't have any damage like that from ultraviolet rays, I had an eye doctor appt. not too long ago and all was ideal.........and I wasn't around any bright lights. This has happened more and more since I first started seeing them a couple months ago.
Oh yes and I was kidding about them being "floaters"-either proteins or fat cells- they're translucent, what I'm talking about is solid black in one place in my vision, it didn't move when I turned my head, didn't change position when I blinked and rubbed my eyes.....

Obviosly, I'm no doctor. But it's this "layman's" opinion that you are expressing symptoms of what could be considered a serious medical condition. (might be as simple as Diabetes). If you have health insurance I highly advised talking to a doctor about these black spots that you see before and after rubbing your eyes. If you dont have insurance still seek a RESPECTED doc's opinion, perhaps an M.D.

They could be floaters as someone mentioned. Sometimes the vitrious(sp) membrane of the eye can detach and the result is these black specs and shapes in your vision field. It is not dangerous. You should go see an opthomologist. This happened to me a few year ago. I woke up one day with all these black specks in my vision. They are more visible when looking into the sun or any bright light. I thought my retina was detaching or something, but it was my vitrious membrane. No matter what it is an eye doctor can help you figure it out.

Ask yourself: How does it make you feel? What is the cause of it?
You know the answers. Ask the questions.

I saw a doctor yesterday about any possible eye damage to explain what im talking about. I told him about it, he checked my eyes for a long time looking for any damage. He didn't know what the heck was going on with me because he didn't find any problems with my eyes in anyway at all.

Maybe your seeing the aliens then. There everywhere man. They especially like hanging out under my bed and in my closet.
Seriously, you did the right thing by going to the doc. Glad to hear that your eyes are ok.
