All life is more similar than it is different. I don't think there's a single living organism that doesn't share at least 50% of our DNA.

If that is the way you feel about it why have you not killed yourself instead of writing utter nonsense on a message board.

No, it is not rather harsh. Posting such obvious, lurid negativity is a waste of my time for having clicked on the link. I was hoping for something more compelling.

I don't think this is necessarily a waste of time. Many humans need to take a look at their actions in light of this. We don't have to live the way we do here on this planet. Looked at in light of this information one might conclude that our current path as a species may be in need of revision or at least more thought.

aboriginies in austrailia could be considered a benign cancer.
it's progressive civilization that is (in its levels) directly relitive to the levels that determine the quality of malignancy.

Re: humans are more like cancer than unlike. [Re: dorkus]

maybe.
so not all humans behave like cancer.  but then, niether do all cancers.  i suppose that s relitive. that cancer itself doesnt hold true to any rule.  however i'm intentionally generalizing. the whole reason for my observation and comparison stems from the environmental changes from pollutions we use to benifet our speceis as a whole.
specifically  those we are unwilling or unable to do without.

parhaps cancer itself can only be blamed on the cause, in which case its not hujans that behave as cancer, but appitite for comforts that perpetuate matastisization of destructive influence on the world, from human activity.

which, clearly is the most potent type barring widespread global or interstellar phenomena.

in conclusion; all life is not cancer as all cells in our body are not cancerous.  all however have the potential if the mechanism of population control is removed.

elephants destroy their habitat and starve themselves out in regular intervals theres cancer potential there however it is created by the human destruction of useful habitat in this way cancer spreads to other parts of the body.

nitrogen is used in plant cultivation to nourish humans.
it leaches into the water supply and nourished algae, algae becomes food for the early stage of coastal and reef starfish, which reproduce unfettered by lack of nourishment. the starfish then consume the coral polyps, destroying massive ammounts of reef and habitat. then die out form their own over conumption, again, the cancer potential itself perpetuates outwards and spreads.

the delicate balance of nature is always experiencing disruption, but in isolated tracts, mankinds omnilocal presence and overproductive nature starts tracts that disrupt the balance on a much greater level.

which bings us back to the topic title, we are very much like the cancer.
as opposed to the rest of life which is more akin to unlike we have a way of removing the population control from ourselves, and that quality has a way of spreading from our activities to the rest of the world.

thas what im saying, im not saing kill yourself, im not saying act, im not attacking anyone, im just observing.
it's abstract comparison.  if we want to define ourselves by our nature. the best way is to compare ourselves to something we can consider a natural constant.
humans change, cancer is always cancer.

"see diagnostic criteria for Narcissistic personality disorder. then see a shrink."

That's great, I hit a nerve... What do you expect by just posting unconstructive negaitivity. Many here want to go on about problems with humanity, but they pose no solutions. Focusing on problems without considering a solution is useless to anyone. Anyway, I criticised your idea, not you personally as you did me. I realize that people and ideas are separate. Thank you for confirming my point. Have a nice day.

clear narsisistic rant, bombastic, inflated sence of entitlement, inflated sence of self-importance.

i suggested a soulution to your problem.

i specifically critisized your ideas. they were needlessly hostile. and by your own volition, sparked by your personal need to be entertained more appropriately.
nobody tricked you into reading it. you think your time was wasted? what do you do with it thats so valuable?
and although i simply dismissed you in a single sentence youre compelled to twist it into some sort of proof of some sort of point. blah blah blah. nothing particularly useful thats for sure. although you claim to be against useless posting.
classic narssisism.

edit:

of course in retrospect im am guilty of responding to a flame, that never does anybody any good, i should know better
