i dont know im always getting called a hippy which i dont think is a bad thing but i hate to be in one group set...i went to raves at the same time i was going to shows from 92-2002 so i was called then a tech hippie..bit I also i like some goth and punk so where do i fit...i guess people love to classify into groups...cus of the way at least i dress and my life style...and cus i love to PUFFFFFFFFFFf...I wonder if i have ever met you before...cus i was in both since for so long...I used to work with pure and a couple of other ravc promoters help with the flier business..it is a small world so you never know...

I agree. a hippie had a strong opinion on social and political issues during the 60s that just does not exist anymore. the world has changed and to smell like pachulii(sp?), wear big clothes, and smoke weed nowadays is silly. people that were hippies in the day are now yuppies. go figure.

"hippies" was what other people called them.
i think the term started in the mid sixties.

..... even hippies didn't know what a hippie was at first... so i guess it caught on.

a hippy is just a label.

for fun though, long hair, tye dye clothing, not eating meat...etc.

We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.
