    #3610905 - 01/11/05 12:25 AM (19 years, 2 months ago)

that post about the celestine prophecy made me curious, does anybody have any good book suggestions???
except 1984, brave new world, the doors of perception, and anything at all about astrology which i have probably allready read allready but i guess you can post astrology if you want.

A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Just a sent a note on this to Hue before I saw your post. I met Dan some 16 years ago and he a did a "life-reading" on me. Told me that I was a powerful Shogun in a past life.

And what? Was I ACTUALLY a powerful Shogun? (or perhaps a weak-assed Shogun...?) Dunno. Have no reason to believe him merely because he wrote some cool books.

cool yes, were insightful? to me, yes.

Was I ACTUALLY a powerful Shogun?

could have been, but who needs to know what could have or would have happened in the past lives.

Millman brought it up as relevant, not me. I have little to no interest in past lives, nor any reason to believe in them.

BTW, Dan is/was a short (5'6") well-built, balding, bearded man, but there was no sense during our meeting of being in the presence of a "master" or "man of knowledge".

I read those books, and while they had some insightful subject matter, they were too obviously copied from Castaneda's style. "The Sword of Shannara" was not a bad book...until you realize how much he copied Tolkein. Taking an influence is one matter, but producing a watered down version designed to appeal to a more "new age" crowd is another.

but its possible look at how long the age expencey is back in those days and how long the dynasties lasted. but no real need to concentrate on something that could have happened or could be a figment of imagination.

He says that to evvvvvvrryone.

That is precisely what I said - that everyone was always someone special in a past life. Dan naturally denied that. "Oh I do readings all the time wherein one was a farmer or a fisherman..."

To Mr. Potato Head, er I mean spudamore: Do a search. I did post more on this here a few years ago. Somewhere I have the audio casette tapes, but am not interested in doing a transcription.
