I have to say, my faith and trust in the administration here is at an all-time low. It almost makes me miss the days when OTD crackdowns were the source of my anger. This shit is fucking ridiculous.

you just want SOMETHING to be the source of your anger. anything. you're an angry young man, hardly a new invention.
the only reason you keep coming back here is for the anger, the adrenaline, the chance to get things off your chest and act however you want to a bunch of strangers in a private website as if we lived in the ideal world. good on you.

Nice analysis, Dr. Freud. Could you do it again without the bullshit? I've met quite a few mods and administrators here, and gotten along with them fine in person. Is it possible that maybe my frustrations with you guys are legitimate?

Nice analysis, Dr. Freud. thanks! Could you do it again without the bullshit? Nope, it's too ingrained. I've met quite a few mods and administrators here, and gotten along with them fine in person. I hope one day you'll add me to that list. Is it possible that maybe my frustrations with you guys are legitimate? absolutely it is. there's no wrong and right, this seems to have split the shroomery down the middle, and i think it's unlikely that many will change their minds now. that's why i say let it go.

Ah, the irony.

This is exactly the type of communication Swami stands unjustly accused of and banned for; never mind that he's never actually written anything so patently offensive. And here we have a mod doing it only hours after banning Swami.

If this wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny.

I wish I didn't care so much about the Shroomery; this wouldn't hurt so much then.

this is just so pointless. haven't you got anything better to do? swami is gone. he'll be back in ten days, until then you can idolise him as a martyr to the cause, against the evil and deceitful shroomery staff. i'm sure it's as boring to many reading as it is to me.

Hmm... shirley has only been a member since late 2002... shirley never posts in S&P... yet shirley somehow KNOWS S&P better than everyone else in there?

It's hilarious that the S&P mods have wussed out at the plate and called for a pinch hitter.
And what's up with this umpire? There've been a dozen strikes, but he won't call this batter out.

i never said that. and nobody sent me in here to answer questions, i'm doing it cos i was the one who banned him 8hours on his return, so i'm one of the protagonists. if by umpires you mean admins, you can be sure that they're reading along, and will collar / sack / silence / squash me if they see the need, or if i cross a line. and i've made it pretty easy for you to call this batter out yourselves - click the link in my signature.

Sorry for doing this everyone, i know breaking down posts like this gay, but I'm gonna do it anyway to get my points across. Feel free to skip over.

Cervantes
"Obviously, Swami is not concerned with this community (his puppet actions PROVE that to ANYONE without a tin-foil hat...)"

right, thanx for that assessment.

"the Admins don't want us to give ANY public details because... everything we present in here is being MOBBED and shot down by people who just want to BARK no matter what is said."

if those are all the details that you know of, than I'm not surprised the admins didn't want there "secret evidence" to get out

"Sure, Swam may have been banned for a rule that DIDN'T yet exist, but it is OBVIOUS Swami does not have this community's best interests at heart."

and their in lies the problem. Pre-emptive strikes are not cool. You could ban me right now, and than make a rule saying "no breaking down of posts into quotes", or some such thing.

"even though we NOW KNOW for certain Swami was up to no good. Name ONE thing Swami has done since his first ban that was GOOD for this community. I sure as hell can't. I didn't know Swami before then, but I imagine he has been as self serving over the past year... or 5... as well."

Well, if you didn't know, Swami has contributed more to S&P than just about anybody in the the community, consistently for years. It may be self serving, but it contributes a great deal.

"even though you were PWN3D by Swami's, "Swami-mind-tricks"."

again, you keep suggesting that were all mindless sheep. Not quite as bad as the "lube hand, puppet" statement, but still quite offensive.

zippo-
"persoanly ill say that it is nice not having my posts shot down in s&p
i usually wouldn't go in there and post with swami ripping apart everything i say aswell as me personally."

If you can't take the heat... Instead of taking it personally, realize he does that to everybody. Think about the points he is trying to make instead of getting ass hurt, like so many others seem to.

You know what's kinda funny about this?

It was the second ban which revealed the puppet linking back to Swami's ip, confirming that it was his puppet.

Even though everyone "knew" about Gustavus being his puppet, you same stupid users would've bashed Swami's banning due to lack of concrete proff ABOUT the puppets. Everyone knew it was his puppet, even the admins. It was just a matter of getting the concrete proof necessary to ban his stupid ass.

It's also annoying that I find certain mods ALL OF A SUDDEN playing mediator, after they chose to pick sides in this ugly ordeal. You have to realize geo was cleaning up a mess from which BOTH PARTIES kept throwing gas into the flame.

This should be a lesson to you guys to NOT just pick sides and fight, but instead, as a mod, it is partially your responsibility to aim towards conflict RESOLUTION, not instigation. Remember that you still do serve the users.

THAT being said, SHIRLEY, I think you've gained alot more respect from me by simply being willing to admit your fault. That's probably the bravest, most admirable thing anyone's done in this thread. Especially in the face of such angry reckless users. Strangely, it is your ban which lead to Admins being able to trace the puppet back to Swami. Ironically, that makes the second ban quite valid, since he did indeed break specific forum rules.

AS FOR THE USERS. You guys have ZERO RESPONSIBILTY on these forums, and you don't have to deal with a bunch of snot nosed critics breathing down your necks everyday. HENCE it is alot easier for you guys to just let your mouths RUN, and let everyone else pick up after you.

SS7, I love you as a person and all, but you need to know when to stop complaining, and just how annoying it can get. How about instead of consistently pointing out negatives, try offering healthier solutions?

You've been here a long time, and this IS the FEEDBACK forum, NOT political discussions.

As for Swami. All I can say is, you're not that smart if you thought you could get away with that puppet. Good luck in the outside world.

this is so much drama, its a fucking website. you should all be lucky enough that the operators and mods and admins actually ban people for a reason and not just because they dont like them. theyhold whatever power is held on this site and they use it responsibly. i think that laot of you people that are debating this post are just looking for somthing to argue with.
theres a psychological base to all of this pointless arguing and personalattacks, that i wont go into.

be greatful that you even have this site.

Wiccan Seeker,... you have quite an imagination, I'll say that much. An author, eh? You must write fiction novels because you have come up with some of the most half-brained shit I have ever had the privilege to read. It seems hypocrisy knows no bounds with you. You repeatedly refer to the people who follow this incident as misguided, simple minded, sheep who are being 'led around by the nose' by that evil Shepherd whose only goal is to use them as pawns in his most clever scheme to overthrow the shroomery. You come off as pompous and arrogant. It seems old Mr. Webster has never introduced the word humility into your repertoire of witty banter.

Why 13eetleJuice.. You come off so tipped off you almost seem personally hurt. Looks like flaming to me. And you're verbally attacking people to the degree of their arguing in favor of the Swami ban.

Still.. nobody has dealt with my posts effectively.
Oh now hell fire has been unleashed in an attempt to assassinate my personality or at least credibility in ways described in Trendals "How Not To Talk" thread in S&P, but in no way have my arguments been dealt with.

Reged two months ago ei? You sure got a big mouth on you.

Yeah, I reg'ed two months ago. So what of it? Does that make me a lesser person than you? It seems appearant to me that you view the world as lesser than you. Hence, my pompous and arrogant comment. If you're trying to point out that my only having been a registered poster for a mere two months, doesn't qualify me to be so adamantly involved with The Shroomery and denies me the right to say what I feel then by all means, as I said in my first post, Show me the Door. You point out that I have violated Trendal's "How Not To Talk" rules in the S&P Forum. First of all, we're not in S&P at the moment. This isn't even about S&P anymore. Check my post stats and see that I've RARELY ever spent any time in S&P. If I have however broken some other rules and stipulations on how one should conduct themselves in this forum, then enforce them if wish. While you're at it, enforce them on yourself as well. I've done nothing that you haven't done. Hence, my hipocritical comment.

It is not my intentionn to assasinate your character as you so elogantly embelished it. It is also not my intention to cause you any emotional pain or hurt feelings. I'm not ganging up on you mods, contrary to the way you may see it. I am voicing my opinions in the proper forum to the persons with whom I have a grievance (rather than running and telling daddy about every bump in the road I come across), in hopes that I may be heard, with heartfelt understanding by those I have addressed. I'm sorry that I had to resort to such drastic tactics, I do not however regret it as I still feel these things needed to be said.

It seems that which I used as an attention grabber was a bit too potent and contrary to my intention, it distracted you from the real message which lie below. I've posted it again for you in bold. Please pay particular attention to that which is highlighted in red. And do us all one favor. Take the cock out of your ear so you can hear me this time. That is to say, in more suitable and friendly terms, please at least attempt to recognize that you, just like me, and all the rest of us that inhabit this small corner of the net, and are spread wide across the globe, all have our faults. Please, I beg you to for one minute, to open your mind to the possibility that you may not have been acting in accordance with your position as a leader of this community. That is all I ask. If you do this and find no fault in the things you've said and the way you have treated people in this thread then that's ok too. Maybe you don't possess the skills of a good leader. And that's alright as well. It's not something we are born with. It is something that we learn along the way. I wish you the best of luck and wish you to know that my true goal in this conflict which we have found ourselves, is a smooth resolution.

13eetleJuice said:
Don't step out Ellemy. You posted exactly the things I was feeling and wanted to say but couldn't find the words for. You are SOOO on hitting the nail on the head when you say this isn't about the ban anymore. Hell, I'm all bent out of shape and I don't even know who this swami character is. I've Never read one friggin post of his. What I have read is the responses from Shirley Knott, Cervantes, and the self-proclaimed author Wiccan Seeker, and I must say that their comments have been very unsettling.

I haven't been around this place all that long and have been a registered poster for an even shorter time. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of the aforementioned moderators so this is kind of my first impressions of them.

Shirley, you seem as cold an uncaring of the shroomery as I could possibly imagine. Passing it off as 'just an internet site'. I beg you to keep in mind that the people behind the scenes are real human beings. The fact that we communicate through a digital medium doesn't lessen the fact that we are real. It's no different than if we were all around a campfire somewheres. It's all the same communication.

Cervantes, my only impression of you is that you are sticking up for a fellow mod (shirley knott) because you feel she is being attacked and you would go to the ends of the earth and back to protect her right or wrong.

Now, I'm sure my opinions of you do not reflect your true personalities. I'm sure that the circumstances of the past 24 hours have brought out the worst in everyone involved, including myself, as I have never until this day posted so negatively toward another individual or group of individuals. It's just that in my eyes, from what I've seen here, it appears that the moderators need some moderation. Oddly enough this whole thing would doubtfully be dragged on as much as it has if the mods had used a little moderation in their posting. The rest of the community and by saying that I mean those opposed to you, would have likely stopped by now if you had refrained from replying (so harshly I might add) to every single expression of disapproval posted by them.

It seems to me that you don't want this matter resolved (see wiccan's previous post for proof of this). It seems to me that you don't want others to look up to you. It seems to me that you don't want to be in a leadership position. Well, you are looked up to, you are a leader, and you need to act like one. Follow Geokill's example because he has it down to an art form.

Now if I've pissed you all off in some way or if being critical towards a moderator is against the TOS then so help me god, I wish you to ban me permanently. Swell up with anger, feel your ego rise up in your throat giving you that bad taste in your mouth, and hit me with the ban stick. I could really care less at this point. Last week I would have pleaded for mercy as I truly thought The Shroomery was the place for me but now my doubts about the stability and leadership of this place have risen so high as to cause such discontent on my part that I almost wish you'd do me the favor.

If you are still not convinced of my true intentions then I offer you this excerpt of a private message sent to EllemyshShade just after my writing of that first post:

From: 13eetleJuice
To: EllemyshShade

Quote:
...I debated at some length as to whether or not it was appropriate to mention you at the beginning of the post or if I should make 2 separate posts whereby your name would not be associated with the more critical one.

I guess my real question is this. Do you think I went a little over the top in that last post? I honestly don't mean any harm to any of them. It's just that... It's just that I think sometimes we all need a slap in the face to wake up and see the error of our ways. I can't wait till this is all over and I can give a big virtual hug to those I've been so critical of. At least I hope it turns out that way.

I tell you this to show you my true feelings and not because you waved some rules in front of my face of how I'm "Not To Talk" as if it were some sort of vieled threat which is how I viewed it. If that was not your intention then fine. I feel that it should be noted that I will not hold back my feelings under the threat of punishment, or prosecution. So yes, I do have a big mouth. It is in constant motion and will continue to be in the future, for better or for worse.

In closing, I would like submit my formal appology to everyone here at the shroomery for any discontent I may have caused in my part of this whole ordeal. I want nothing more than for all of us to join together as one close-knit gruop of persons who come here for the reasons of sharing our experiences with one another, helping out friends in thier time of need, and enjoying the company of our fellow man. I would also like to take the first step in closing this argument by offering a truce to all parties involved. I propose that we all make our final rebuttals and let it be done with. I will not post on this topic again. I encourage Wiccan Seeker and others who feel this post pertains to them to offer thier rebuttals to my comments and leave it at that. I certainly will not post in this thread again as I beleive that anything else said would only be counterproductive in working towards our goal. My only hope is that we all share the same goal of resolution.

S&P topic

This I view as a seperate topic, but since it's locked I'm forced to put it in here....

The topic was not Swami's banning, but rather the atmosphere in S&P. Yes, the banning did have an effect on that. No, it's not another thread of the same sort as this. Not a call for fairness in the Swami situation, but rather an observation made of a forum here that seems to many to be spiralling down the drain.

If I ran around in the middle of the summer yelling about a snowstorm headed our way.. and someone told me I was wrong, it's the middle of summer, there's not a cloud in the sky, and it's 98 degrees.. hey, I might feel personally offended and attacked! I would now twice be in the wrong, but the feeling going around is that such things would get that nay-sayer in trouble.. maybe not the first time, but eventually. Apparently you can only debunk so many whackos.

I'm gonna eat dinner and then I'll be back with a post actually pertaining to the issue of the banning. yay.

Did I say that out loud? Sorry... at least I didn't FLAME you... at least it was HONEST.

Silversoul, what exactly do you need to further discuss? I'm a little unclear now.

I think I've addressed every issue you wanted addressed... and I think you've disagreed with everything you disagree with.

What NEW stuff do you need to discuss?

I know you don't like what happened... you have said it repeatedly... I respect that. But this is getting redundant. If you want more info, ask away.

If you want a change in policy, ask away.

Otherwise, you and I (and anybody else) should refrain from the pithy comments... (Like "Tucker themselves out" or "you are shitty") it isn't helping anything.

I can't promise anything... but I will listen.

What I am tired of are these one sentence, negative posts, that do nothing but send this conversation in downward circles.

Looking at your posts, lately, it seems you are stuck on bitch/moan. I know you can make a better post than that. And REALLY, I am aware you don't like what happened.

Argue Silver... don't bark. You've got a brain. It is people like you, that make this issue so serious. You aren't an idiot. We ARE listening... say something new. I'm running out of stock responses to common bickering.
