Definitions of Mushroom gill shapes, and patterns.

Does anyone know where I can find a site of the shapes sizes, and characteristics of the gills on mushrooms. I don't know what all the fancy names stand for. Thankx.

Dunno about a website, but the best BOOKS for this info are the beginners' field guides by Richard & Karen Haard: "Foraging For Wild Edible Mushrooms" & "Poisonous & Hallucinogenic Mushrooms." Each of these has several pages of illustrations, showing every possible cap, stalk, gill, and veil configuration and the technical terms for each. Also good clear text explaining ID procedures in layman's terms. These were my very first mushroom books, bought many years ago, & they're still useful.

mjshroomers site has some good stuff about characteristics of the whole mushroom not just the gills..
mjshroomer.yage.net..there are a lot of other interesting things in there as well..
