frog: Why we cannot see the other dimensions ?
Our consciousness is 'born' into this universe on this planet and a big evolution took place so far. It all went for surviving of the fittest, and that does primarely mean, surviving in the predescribed limits of this dimension. Evolution just optimised our physical settings we have now to comply with our (more-dimensional)spirit. It's this overgrown monkey we have to inhibit to succeed in our tasks.
In spirituality, it's a good chance to learn about the less-dimensioning of some reality.
But as the mind has some interdimensional interfaces, for that our spirit is able to connect with the body-hq, whe have the ability, reasonable get a glimpse of the dimension-shifts and spirit-own multiverses with our connected brains. Many conclusions can be taken from this.

jiggy: It pleases me, that your expieriences correlate with mine. It's a matter of strong reasoning, meditation, out of body experience, spiritual communication (like praying), strong believe, open mind and last but not least hallucinogenic drugs (especially a experienced friend who took dmt and took more than 5 days to explain me, what happened [for specialists: he arrived at the god-entity in the golden room])
I have not that strong spiritual energy, but I am a very quick, not easy to satisfy 'learner'
I also think I have managed to constelate my spiritual connections in some 'right' way, which has something to so with 'attitude' and brings many discoveries....

Our biological beings kind of filter out extraneous dimensional information, since we must be intent on biological survial.

DMT produced endogenously is normally at a level where this can be managed.

Are we approaching the evolutionary leap where we can move into an arena of wider perception? Is the psychedellic cult rising? Are we entering a fresh symbiosis with the vegetable mind-matrix? And perhaps further...is the rate of endogenous DMT production set to increase? What will this mean for Time? Will it mean anything?

'Will it mean anything ?'
Yes. Nowerdays there are many possibilities to cheat with time (time will heal wounds, time makes crimes juristically invalid,...)
The more we reason the syncronicity and nonlinearness of time, the more we will get conscious and aware (and vici versa)

the three second moment is the one when you say
just a moment and then cheat.

Mind moments are variable but usually much faster than 3 seconds.
3 seconds is the plodding meter, but I do agree we run ego on a sequence like that.

3 seconds is about the duration of an ego mask (minicomplex) on the fly, I mean a moment of expression, or a moment of personality.
these masks are pretty complex constructs (sequences etc).

sometimes on salvia I can be with a few masks simultaneously as previous ones have not yet faded, and that is really wild. as if I were part of a cresh of my self and I were not sure which was more real than the other (each). (like deja vu)

many thoughts are completed in shorter cycles.

Re: Time [Re: Frog]

time like any other realm of measurement is manmade.... what is not manmade is what is being measured.

When you tie it in to relativity it makes a bit more sense:

Like how "length" itself doesn't really exist.. However I can say that the distance between my right hand and the beer can in front of me is much smaller than the distance between me and alpha centari.

I can also apply relativity to make the claim that the distance between NOW............... and NOW! is shorter than the distance between yesterday and tomorrow.

That being said, time is definitely useful when you take into consideration our obsession with separating everything from the whole. It is now a requirement to separate the last minute you experienced with the next minute you will experience. It is required of modern society for you to do this, otherwise you're going to be late for work and possibly get fired and possibly get evicted and possibly turn into a fucking junky out in the streets (again?).

A mere 500 years ago, mankind was probably not as obsessed with separating the last minute from the next minute (could perhaps MONEY have something to do with this? naaahhhh!). I think this points out specifically that time is indeed manmade, which doesn't necessarily mean "fuck it" or "ok then lets get rid of it" or whatever because as of now, like one of our other inventions, "the tool," it is absolutely necessary to understand its use if you even want to connect the slightest bit with other humans these days.

You can take it farther and look way back in time - back in the stone age I'm sure that the period of time that we measure now as an hour had less significance to humans than the modern minute does... I mean hell what does a caveman have to do today? certainly not vacuum his car or meet up with a business accociate at 12:34:19PM.

The more busy we get, the more we are going to "disect" the separation of events, which will make it seem like time is getting much faster.

I have conducted an experiment over the years of asking people what time it is and seeing how specific they get. Rarely will somebody say "It is 12:34." They'll just tell me it is 12:30.

I believe this will change over the years.. I personally, when asked the time, tell people up to the quarter-minute what time it is.. If some stranger asks me what time it is, I tell them "It is ABOUT 12:34 and a half." Some people look at me like "ok gee thanks mr. precise" but others simply thank me and don't think much of the extreme detail I just injected into them, because IMO they realize that it has somehow become THAT important.

We're reaching a crunch-point though in our perception of time where language is going to have to become way more efficient if we wish to compress our actions into smaller and smaller "areas" of time.. When we can communicate faster, I think we'll be able to act even faster too.

But you know what? What's the fucking rush? Why are we getting so fucking hextic these days? Good god why is everybody in such a blind rush all of the time?

Oh yeah because we're destroying this entire beautiful planet and people seem to want to either just hurry up and go through their shit and keep busy and hope it doesn't all fall apart while they're alive or they seem to want to hurry up and fucking DO SOMETHING to cool down this hell we are creating.

.... and that's just ONE direction my mind takes off in with the word "time." Holy shit that is quite a rant

sorry to split this into two posts....

"but this would mean that everything is happening all at once, wouldn't it"

Right, and when you realize there is no time, you realize that this is precisely what is happening.

There is no time, Frog. There is only a constant and eternal NOW. The problem is that if one wishes to interact with this constant and eternal NOW, they have to separate actions, which requires a fancy concept known as TIME to separate "THIS NOW" from "THAT NOW."

at least that is how I percieve it having been corrupted with this Einstein dude's concept of relativity.

kool - all sounds good man.

Yeah I realise many thought and emotional processes complete and run much quicker than in a 3 second segment. Sometimes one can experience a multitude of thoughts, ego divisions and emotions pouring through one at phenomenal velocity (even when straight). The way you describe the 3 second 'masks' is very good. Thanks for that.

sequenced but singular

Thanks, Strumpling. I don't know why your post made it make sense, but I think it makes sense now.

There is no time. There is only now. Everything is not going to happen all at once if there is no time. We have expectations of the future and memories of the past, but there is only now.

Okay.

But, will the concept of time exist in any other dimension besides our own? And if not, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO!!!

"Everything is not going to happen all at once if there is no time."

Well the way I see it is that everything IS happening all at once. At "once."

time falls in with space in my opinion with relation to "one-ness." There is one moment, and that's right now. There is one space, and that is right here.

The separation and disection in the name of progress is what confuses me I think.

Maybe I should clarify "everything happening all at once", or maybe it's not necessary. I don't know. Maybe I'm still confused.

Yes, everything happening at this moment in time is happening all at once. But everything can't happen all at once that would have happened at different moments in time if time existed.

Right???

Re: Time [Re: Frog]

Everything is happening all at once, we are just too blind and primitive and focused to see it all.

"But everything can't happen all at once that would have happened at different moments in time if time existed."

there are only different moments in time when we separate and label them as such. Its all one chunk. Billions of years from now is already here, we're just waiting to process it with our simple little minds. We create time by taking specific interest in specific stuff, which requires a separation and label to express to others.

I think a lot of this has to do with death.... We know we are dead.. This makes us want to focus on this location of the whole where we are alive and able to interact. This focus requires the concept of time.

lol i don't know how many different directions this could be taken in, but to me it comes down to separating our experience into bits and pieces which creates time.

Re: Time [Re: Strumpling]

and there's another direction if you'd like to become more confused (I love it): Terence Mckenna used to say that he thinks time is just as real as the chair you're sitting on, and that it can be messed with just like matter. I never got a clear image of what he meant by that, but I found it interesting.

He also said that time travel is possible. He said that one can only go as far back in time as the invention of time travel, because before that there was no time travel!

So then as soon as we invented time travel, there would instantly be an explosion of time-travellers coming back from the future to see the first occurance time-travel, and everything would change instantly.

I think if we were to develope what we see as "time-travel" it would be a lot easier to realize that time is, like a number, simply a manmade invention that POINTS to something that is very real

If you go to this site and scroll down to a paragraph header that says, "This is for heavy thinkers only" This guy has an interesting take on how simulataneous time works through pulses and has an example graph. It's pretty interesting as it gets your mind thinking in new places.

I think of time kind of like a space, like those old medieval paintings that go across the walling showing a battle or something. All points are already present on the map, but for somereason we cycle through each point in a linear order. Or at least we appear to.
The thing that complicates this is the mental faculty for memory, which in order not interfere with the linearity of time, only shows us thought representations of past moments from which our relative present is established.

Some people like the idea of the moment being all that exists, but I find that using the memory to connect the points in one's life into a larger narrative adds alot of depth and meaning to it. I am always comforted when I think about the present being grounded in the past, it helps makes sense of things for me and enables me to function better. This is one reason I don't really like weed anymore, by effecting my short term memory and my perception of the now it can take any meaningful context for a moment or a thought.

I wish I knew what it was that makes time seem to move the way it does. Maybe it is simply the brains system for organizing input and creating order out of stimuli.

I have a reply above this with a link to a site that has a comprehensive explanation for simultaneous time and a graph.

It got me thinking about where consciousness is while asleep "regarding the theory and graph in the above". Could our dreams be awarness in these other existances and realities taking place simultaneously? Almost too much to handle.

Often, I have dreams where I revisted the same places. This is why I suspect what I said about dreams. And now I wonder where and how lucid dreaming fits in.

I have a friend who gets flash images of a parrallel life while awake where in the "flash" he will have retained a waking memory of a couple hours worth of the experience. He pieces them together best he can as there are gaps but he has a general idea of the life he is living in it.

It's dream time for me now...................

I am back to being confused.  I was starting to feel less congested, but now I'm back to befuddled.  I may have to do some research after all.

and direction is another man-made concept, is it not?  What do you want to bet that direction doesn't exist either?

"This is for heavy thinkers only...
Big Question here! How can we be the manifested and the unmanifested simultaneously? I am proposing a theory here by which it is possible to be the All and have simultaneous universes. It goes like this: all life or creation in the manifested edition or in the visible as well as in the invisible universes, consist of pulses for existences and gaps for non-existences. See the picture and explanations below..."

That was from the site to which jig posted a link. A lot of what I read about time, or timelessness, seems to be connected to the zero point field, imo, based on what I remember from reading about it.

If there is a zero point field, from which we can derive knowledge or being or whatever, from the Universe, all parts of the universe, and all periods of time, all knowledge derived therefrom, then different parallel universes and dimensions would make sense, wouldn't they?
