Zaps are great, now, my response to TCO was mostly a joke, being able to spawn them to coir is something I will be doing this winter and unless you have to supply your neighbors it will probably give you more then enough. And why not do both, one coir and one with a nutritional substrate if you have enough spawn and can swing it, who doesn't love

And it ain't no skills, well other then what I picked up right here, it's basically Mico's substrate in Pheno's dreamer tub.

Probably with a sprinkle of winning the spore lottery

I will however, like I mentioned, try doing a side by side coir and nutritional substrate this winter. I was surprised to see my Tres Soles doing almost equally good at pin stage.

I know the picture is horrible, but the light timer is on off right now, but still, the left is my normal zaps substrate and right is just coir, both at 1:4 ratio and the same casing.

2 and 7 o’clock look okay, other areas look disorganized.
What do you think? If there’s mold enmeshed I will go back to spores.

Looks fine to me, don't like the 1 o'clock though. And when you do a transfer, send it before it reaches the edge of the cup

Piggybacking on this question, what temperature ranges? I think I've seen they prefer things a bit cooler for fruiting (IIRC under 72F/22C), is roughly 65-70F / 20-21C okay? I've had no luck getting them to fruit yet but will be trying more soon.

Also: What ratio of grain:coir?
