How was that experience? Must've been intense as shit :lol:


It was very intense and confusing at the time, smelly actually rescued me that particular evening.
I couldn't speak for hours and the only words I could put together in my brain ended up as wtf.
Not only that but I thought I broke myself a bit.

It caused a few months of existential dread because I couldn't figure out what I had seen.

Very intense but it was needed and that mental break if you can call it that helped me to reset at a difficult time in my life

Getting destabilised off a trip can be pretty spooky business.
But it can and does happen, as this forum shows sometimes.
Saying that, just like you DERRAY, I came out the other side feeling 'better for it' or at least a fresh perspective. And the respect for shrooms was MASSIVELY reinstated into me.

@Skansk, far be it from me to dissuade you, or anyone, from getting further out with your semps.
I definitely tried to fight the trip, like a noob. That was my main error.

As I said in :pm: just practise harm reduction- what ever that means to you- including being humble/aware of what you're asking for, knowing your batch and other standard good trip etiquette around your preperation, set and setting.

I would say I have now had semps around 7 times total over the last few years, and they never gave me a sketchy trip again- in fact I love their character.
They're up there with the other favourites: psil cyans and liberty caps.

@DERRAYLD: this is definitely the reply I expected... That's a nuclear dose dude... I'm happy you had smelly helping you out there and honestly it's damn cool that you two trip together and I'm glad you got something positive out of it in the end bro.

@Lithop: I'm pretty good at letting go by now so I don't think that'd be an issue since I eat a shit load of shrooms and especially Semps (a few times a week for about a year) and honestly I haven't even had a bad trip, I've had wonky ass trips on them but I've kept laughing at it like "wtf is this?" :lol:

Btw Semilanceata is definitely one of my favourites too:naughty: found close to a kilo last year in my "dream pasture":muppet:





@Asura: haha that's incredibly reasonable of you:lol: I'd say that you can handle a gram but it's better to be safe than sorry, hence why I love my redosing schedule:naughty: it's just easier to end up at a really good dose imo

i am starting a semperviva grow and im trying to do cyans and ovoids side by side. the last semp grow i had was super bacc and it left a bad taste in my mouth, so now i have an apartment and free time and the motivation ahs always been an issue with my add but culting was the one thing i could always apply myself,
semp.. the ones that got away.

He is however someone I would call a friend even if we are just communicating online or through discord.

This was one of those evenings where I was able to speak to him on discord once I was able to use my phone to put a basic sentence together.

He assured me I had not broken myself.

Smelly is an MVP for this... I remember taking a massive dose of cubes a long time ago when I was completely alone and shit went to hell. This was incredibly hard to experience because I was delirious as shit and I couldn't understand basic physics for a few hours whilst my thought became dumber and dumber and I totally thought I broke myself there too. The trip became awesome when the effect settled but before that I experienced true loneliness for the first time which was super weird and it definitely taught me to appreciate the few people I have in my life:lol:

Make sure you folks give them a try fresh as well. 7g & 9g fresh gave me some of the heaviest trips of my life. Very special things.

Harvesting these HVC shoeys today. The green caps are new to me. I initially thought they were just late bloomers, but they never darkened up or dropped any spores. Cool to see this strain do something different.

And 100% agree, fresh semps are where the magic is.


My favourite semp trip ever, my friend and I were camping in a cave- I'd picked the flush RIGHT before we left, transporting them in a cooler etc.
We chewed away on them like cows chewin the cud. We had a few bits of jerky in there, a delicacy we termed rainbow stroganoff.

In retrospect, its gross but I reckon the set (close friend ready for a trip together) and setting (isolated nature, cave deep in the woods, loving curated playlist, big fire) made any queasiness that such a method might induce at home as non existant. I think it caused some sublingual/buccal absorbtion so we got very high, very fast; and the ingestion of full fruiting bodies kept us tripping for so long.

I deleted my public trip reports a while ago but I get a feeling it's ok to share this one, for all you semp lovers, so I have made it in a private journal entry here.

It's long, but I do believe it to be a comprehensive -and in hindsight true to character- report of how astounding & incredible fresh semps can be.
