You can always reset the router by turning the power off to your neighbors house ya know...

Shroomery only works 3% of the time on my home wifi for some reason :shrug:

Iโ€™d be a bit wary. :tinfoil:, but could be that they have (maybe unknowingly) some kind of proxy there, either for HTTP caching or security checking between you and shroomery. Because quick Google tells that this error could also happen when Firefox expects SSL/HTTPS response, but receives HTTP instead.

Could easily be somekind of โ€œsecurity featureโ€ by their ISP too.

Have you noticed this with other sites too?

Good morning fine folks, hope everyone is having a good start to their day or enjoying their afternoooooons, whatโ€™s everyone up to?

Woke up early af 45 mins ago, trying to fix my sleep schedule this week so far so good I reckon, sleeping on the floor is getting old though. Iโ€™ve been trying to hold out for a purple mattress because my back is a little broken but after 9 months on the floor I realize I shouldโ€™ve gotten a โ€œmeantimeโ€ mattress. Oops

umm yes my neighbor knows i use his wifi and occasionally charge my computer at his place, he gave me the password, but he recently got new routers, or added a router on, i think...  this issue happens randomly, like it works for me now, and when it doesn't work, no matter how many times i refresh when it doesn't work, it doesn't work.  i can try again later and every 5-10% of the time it might work for a little window of time, then it'll go back to not working just when i'm ready to make a post, like right now, so i have to wait or give up or save it for later.

I trust him, i just don't think he'd know shit about tech support either.

what am i cultivating?  way too much to mention, but here's what i'm harvesting this week.

birdhouse gourds... don't know where i'm going to dry and cure all these though there's like 25 good ones.

This may or may not work, but if a website shows you this SSL certificate error you can follow these steps.

1. Click on the page (not on any buttons of links just click the black space on the page)
2. type "thisisunsafe" (this is unsafe with no caps or spaces)
3. hit 'enter'

It will either:

- prompt you to advance in which you can hit continue
- Do nothing

If those dont work you can try to dump your DNS cache

On Windows, open command prompt and type 'ipconfig /flushdns' and press Enter. This will flush Domain name services causing a refresh.

Clear our Browser cache, Locate Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data

Turn off VPN and or Proxy servers. If your neighbor got a new router it could be blocking VPN or Proxy services.

If thats the case,,,,,,

Go to command prompt type 'ipconfig /all" and look for default gateway.

it'll be a number like 192.168.1.1  or something like that (if he didnt change anything its exactly that number)

type that into your search bar and that will send you to the router.

most people use the same passwords for everything so if the router is locked.... try the wifi password.


Dont go too crazy though. Too many attempts will be apparent if he knows what hes doing.




EDIT: this looks like you're using linux, so depending on your distro open terminal and use the following

Flush Your DNS Cache with:
'sudo resolvectl flush-caches'
or
'sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager'


Find Your Default Gateway
'ip route'

look for "default via 192.168.1.1 dev wlan0" or something close on that line


accessing the router is the same regardless of OS

I have all sorts of issues with this old ass box, but I have to clear out the SSL cache all the time to get on and hit F5 until it loads.  It lasts for a while, then I'll have to do it again.  I just figured it was this old pile giving me shit like it always does.
