its funny, I've noticed the traffic on /r/conservative was way off for the past few days.  some of the usual insane-take accounts I'm accustomed to seeing there haven't been posting.  we're unlikely to ever find out whether thats due to bot infrastructure being taken offline or other factors, but last time russia's ability to bot was impacted, everyone noticed a quantifiable reduction in traffic from some real suspicious "influencer" accounts. (lots of "conservative American white mom" type accounts went dark and were later found to be registered from russia).

Looks like hes just trying to manipulate the oil market with announcements like an energy ceasefire between Russia and ukraine that neither country claims to have any awareness of.

Two months after it arrives fed ex sends an invoice for $20 additional fees because the de minimus $800 dollar limit was fucked by tard in chief.

Yeah I import stuff direct from China and the invoicing on tariffs is a complete and utter cluster fuck.

It depends largely on how the seller reports it. One time I paid 45% on the value of the shipped goods, the next time, same seller, I paid ZERO on the same exact order. The only difference was the shipping company.

Some people that I do business with in the powersport industry have similar stories. Some are refusing to pay that tariffs that are billed after delivery. DHL for example will make you pay before they deliver and will only hold packages for so long. UPS seems to drop the stuff and work it out later. The tariffs aren't even the end of the story because these companies are now tacking on processing fees too.

Nobody seems to know what will happen if you don't pay the tariffs. Enforcement has been difficult and troublesome for an organization (CBP) unfit to regulate at this scale.

standard practice with china or japan is to tell them you have not received it, they will them usually send another , keep repeating the process until they tell you to fuck off.

In the age of tracking I don’t think that’s the standard practice at all. You might get one reship but even that is unlikely.

Oh gotcha.

I've never had issues getting tracking. Tracking that was of any value, well that can be different. At least until it hits stateside it can be fairly worthless. I deal with B2B deals though, not consumer facing shipments.
