I don't understand why the two of you need to keep bringing this up in this specific thread. Both of you feel the need to get the last word in and it has destroyed any respect I have for either of you.

I confess I'm just about done with yeti.  Grown it for years and its a favorite, but it just annoys the shit out of me.  I used to get these amazing tubs of dongs and I don't know what ever went wrong but it microfruits every  god damn first flush no matter what I do. I cloned some badass fruits from a single tub I had a good time with and if those don't pan out, I'm dunzo.  Moving to some other albino/ape of some kind that wants to perform.  I don't care about the profile, I don't care that people love the effects.  Fuckin done with Yeti.

I'm just saying, you must've washed your tub really well before all that.  Well, my tub/shower is a jacuzzi tub which is nice!  Really nice for sure.

But the jacuzzi holes fill up with gunk.  So admittedly growing in a tub would probably not have enough substrate and grain spawn to make it up to the holes.  however, that would be a phenomenal organism once fully colonized.

Makes me want to imagine the set up Terrance McKenna had.  He claimed to grow around 75 lbs wet mushrooms a week in the 80s before getting out of the game in fear of arrest and incarceration.

Mckenna was an infamous bullshitter.  He knew he could say pretty much anything, because at the time, nobody really knew better.
If he came here today with all these claims, mb would probably ban him for trolling after a a couple months while the entire confessional dogpiled his threads chanting "PICS! PICS! PICS"

It comes from punishing them so much — they grow diminished, perhaps they are scared. :lol:

I support these kinds of decisions, there's no need to become a slave to what one sets out to do — that would just be stubbornness. A breath of fresh air is never a bad thing.

I don't even particularly like the words he uses or the sound of his voice, or the arrogant way his fans spoke with him and he responded.  I suppose I always figured his "facts" were true.


I appreciate how Shroomery is basically the underground of mycology.  And ole Terr' Bear as well as Paul Stamets are considered mainstream and by extension, money grabbing grifters.  And I have to admit that while reading a Stamets book is interesting and occasionally helpful everything I know mycology related I learned from a Shroomery thread.  Everything.


Here's another shout out to those of you who come here with the knowledge, and share it.

The starbucks of psychonauts.  Hate to say, but now michael pollan has elevated them god status with his books.  I mean, im glad at least that its actually becoming mainstream, truly i am and im always happy to help the guys who found me after reading these books etc but i just get annoyed at the hype and bullshit. 

Mckenna thinks hes a mystic because he ate 7grams of dealer shrooms..  stamets thinks azzys are the strongest musrhrooms in the world... :rolleyes:

Ya i confess.. its envy.  I envy the money and the fame.  I would challenge their fans to spend a weekend with hob on a 10gram kodama flame war with god.  Or lets talk about azzy alkaloid profile next to ye ol semperviva. 


And ya ill say it again.  I wanna be rich and famous for being a drug mutant!  Wheres the chapter in pollans book about hanging out with beefsupreme and doing a 1gram rail of ketamine while peaking on a hit of window pane?

Fuck, 'Greatest psychonaut'... I hate these kinds of claims. That he was perhaps one of the most 'commercial' ones to make a spot for himself in the mainstream — definitely.

That doesn't take away from the fact that he deserves recognition for his contribution — that's a reality. But elevating people to the level of 'icons' and idealizing them is a far cry from the reality of a simple mortal being.

And it's something that happens to me with everything — with everything that turns into a 'brand'. Weed strains, mushroom varieties, mineral water brands, types of shoes, socks, and blenders... Who cares? Does it work? Is it nice? Does it not work? Reality won't stop being reality (even if subjective), but I couldn't care less about the whole narrative. It's a total mental circlejerk.

People want a medal for everything. To be worshipped and have their dong sucked just because. A contribution is a contribution — indisputable. The rest is Akashic garbage.

"Greatest"... Pff, what I've learned in this life is that there's always going to be someone with a bigger rod.

Ha.  Mapquest is blowing up because they refuse to rename lake ontario and gulf of mexico.  I downloaded it and honestly im kinda likin it so far.  Less annoying.
