The substrate consists of a mix of sphagnum peat moss, horse manure, sapropel, and coarse sand in a 50/10/15/25 ratio, amount of spawn is very small (100ml per 3 ltr)
This is for the first time them fruiting outside ☝🏻

@Noah, thats a lovely looking outdoor cluster man, very nice.
I love the one who looks nestled under the cap of another, larger one looking as though a parasol to the rest- chill as.

I haven't been on the Shroomery for a good while but happy to be back for a bit. These were from a while ago but this was a 3rd flush of Zapotecorum La Martinica. These things were fruiting from the bottom of the substrate so I put them on a metal rack

Thanks 🤝 but that was the first time ☝🏻. Maybe the original sample was collected high in the mountains and adapted to colder conditions. I’m up north, and temperatures here are around +8 to +25°C these days, and they started fruiting at about +12 to +24°C.

I guess as more generations of spores you will bring to the same environment as more they adept that's evolution i guess

I was wrong they are clean and healthy so after more than 2 Years they are growing also for me :mushroom2::heart:

Instead of attempting to adopt tropical species I’ll watch how psilocybe syanescens will show up coming fall and if them will resist our -40 winter and show up next year

It can be done I'd think though germinating the spores in the outdoors would definitely not work in -40 xd

Idk how it'd effect future generations though could probably make spawn indoorfrom spore to gar to whatever  n fruit outdoors possibly n rinse repeat though unsure if ud see noticeable difference in climate adaption withen a lifetime lwk 😂

If anyone's seen or heard of someone making a f7 or 8 going from f0 spore n making selections n fruiting outdoor through whole cycle let me know xD would love to read about that and it's process/effects and differences compared to the f1-8 selection process of indoors :hug:
