Mexicana jar is getting there, currently going Pan crazy, but I'll get to these.  They can sit in the jar and do their thing until I'm ready, hopefully see some stones while we wait.

What's that you are using for a casing, wild looking pic... those pins look happy.

My Mexicana jar has been forming a few stones, even before full colonization, yup right on schedule.

To fruit ATL7 I read somewhere in the masses of aging posts that fruiting them right after consolidation (1 week after full colonization of spawn) made them more apt to produce fruits rather than letting the stones fully form prior to fruiting.

It was a super old post, full of coffee and gypsum. Has anyone found this to be true?

A SFF shoe box would do the trick right? Just add a real casing? A psuedo casing of coir wouldn't work wouldn't it?

I’ve found that to be true. I don’t like to wait with my stoners; I spawn them right after they fully colonize grain and I case immediately after they fully colonize sub.

Though others have better luck letting their spawn stone up. So that doesn’t seem to be set in stone 😜

As do i , but i put them into fruiting as soon as there put to bulk in the greenhouse…. no waiting for things to colonize.

I have never tried putting them straight into the chamber, are you keeping the wetness down for colonization, or blast away.

I am going to harvest the stones out of these ATL7 jars, do they both look too far gone to S2B??
Plan on making stoned gummies.

similarly, I was thinking of fruiting these at stone harvest.  mine are old, made nov 13, 2025.

maybe I shouldn't spawn them... all.

There's about 15 of these jars...

a martha will be set up soon for these to fruit in... as well as similarly aged subtropicalis spawn (?)

No, I keep the conditions consistent all the way through the process they like is a lot of water as long as it’s not standing or pooling on the substrate
That’s why I use aluminum pans because I poke holes in the bottom to let the excess drainage water out

You can see how wet these are

Yup, they like it wet no doubt, I found that out playing with them in passive tubs, before going into the GH.  Crazy they don't mind it colonizing too, thanks for sharing, and I've seen your trays, it clearly works.

Thank you!!! This is a simple vermiculite+sand casing but I call it a QT casing,
"Quirky Tone". It's colored sand yes lol I wanted people
to be bewildered but you're correct  Jade/Glaucus.
:rainbowcloud:
There's so many colors to choose from too!
:awemazing:
The fruits are always fun to pick, the sand just slides off so easy!

Well green sand is a part of a substrate recipe I have from a outdoor cultivator who setup astoria with azurescense n cyans 🙏. There's probably some benifits of the sand im curious about it

🫡 keep up the good work eather way it looks mystical
