If I have grain bugs in my rye, can I still use it after sterilizing or is it a goner?

Secondly, could I use the grain water for agar as well or is that a bad idea also?

Figured its all good since the grain is getting boiled anyways but don't want to waste a bunch of time only to get contamination.

^ can be done, at least I have with pantry moth eggs and the random larva.

The eggs do turn into a sticky paste that sticks to the sides of the jar though, or can. I'f it's eggs, I'd try to remove most of them by using a strainer and mixing it around.

On my end, I'm curious about who has done Cubensis x Ochra crosses? Any meaningful success stories turning into great lineages?

60mm vented for day to day. 90 for streaks / MSS

90 mm non vented as well.

1000 ml makes 30 easily and you get an agro clean culture going and takes like 4 days to eat a plate up and nice quarter wedges dropped to millet is life

You guys pasteurise composted manure  at like 155f for a long time 6-8 hours?  Also the casing

That'll be plenty. I always go overkill and do 160 for 10 hours because I do it overnight and my oven auto shutoffs at 10 hours

hi,  i couldn't post on tnf due to VPN use, i am trying to cultivate a second time after failing the first time 5 years ago, i am trying to follow mudafuka's bottle tek, will white millet work for that using flash prep method? another thing is that i bought a brick of coir and it has a small white growth on the exterior, should i toss it or will bottle tek be enough sterilization for the coir, thanks a lot you all, i hope my attempts will bear fruits this time.

Coco Bliss is good brand coir. I also use jiffys peat moss n verm though some have bad experiences with jiffys mix. 

Lookup hitch hikers guide in search engine.
It will help get you up to pace with good knowledge

as some things related to cultivation have changed over the years and there's few places with as reliable info and helpful people as here.

Does anyone know what this is?

inoculated with LC on the 15th. I shook the jars immediately after noccing.. inoculated in a SAB and jars were PC'd at 15 psi/90mins.

They "powdery" growth started forming within the first 2 days, and has been progressively spreading since. 

some of the white dots have started growing a little thicker ever so slightly.. i'm still hopeful its myc

I know it doesn't look typical, but the lack of the usual contamination colours or textures is leaaving me a little hopeful. (no greens/blacks/yellows/no slimy / wet texture). I can catch a whiff through the flipped lids and it smells like mushrooms and rice.

Should I try giving them a shake? see if that jogs anything along? Or should I try wait another 5 days and then re-assess?

I have been told it's Yeast contamination before.. but I can't find any other examples of pure white yeast contam, usually they look more yellow/brown and more pollenated.. this is like a pure white flour-ey coating over all the grains. (and my understanding is that if it was contaminated, it would of been more obvious by now via smells or colour/texture).

No shake needed, these are done.
The other contams you describe are molds and bacteria.
Yeast is a bit different.
Where is that LC from?
Did you test it if itยดs foreign made?
Often yeast is also introduced by the cultivator,
the biggest contam vector.
What height youยดre at?
Maybe get your pc time up to 2 hours.

Done as in, throw them out?

I did not test it on agar, I will be doing that on the weekend. It's my first time working with agar.
