Thanks for reply. This are small jars with small hole and micropore tape. I didnt wrap them. Problem getting wild when bacteria present in spore print or swab to the point i cant clean them after many transfers. Things just getting bad and bad. Also if i introduce bacteria when working in Sab which happening and even previously clean culture just goes to trash.

To your trained eyes. What is wrong here? Do you think I can clean this up?

Looks like a lot of bacteria. I would transfer a bit of the fluff on top to a brf puck or try a cabin sequester.

:whathesaid:  I’d swipe the very tip of my scalpel tip through the middle of those aerial puffy parts.. then stick the tips in new plates.. probably make a couple plates with 4-5 swipes each.  Then cabin sequester the fastest thin to medium density new growth off those.  At least for me, as I work with pans… not sure what you’re growing but that’s the type of myc I’d choose

Personally, I wouldn’t trust any actual full agar transfers from that.  The only leading edge transfer I might try would be from the 9:15 top left transfer.  I’d use a scalpel blade that has a hook on it..

And scoop out the tiniest piece of that thin leading edge and put it to a plate

Being that the hook has a razor sharp edge on it, you can literally shave the thinnest layer of agar off the top of the plate and pick it up with the hook

And even then, given the state of that original plate, for good measure, I’d take a leading edge of the new one and run it through a cabin.. or puck.

Tip: if you’re going to put a tiny hook on your scalpel tips, heat it red hot first and immediately push it into a hard surface (I use my stove top).  If you don’t heat it first, the tip will snap off.

I'll try your swiping method if it grows out any, I only took one transfer as you can see in this picture. Its F+, if it isn't cooked when it grows out ill try the swipe and stab method.

Can anybody recommend a suitable replacement for the 4oz Ziploc Mini Rounds that have been discontinued for Pasty Plates? I ordered two sets of the Elegant Disposables brand from Amazon, one set is fine and the other set melted in my pressure cooker. Looking for a reliable substitute. TIA!

How do you work with this jelly jars cronicr? In front of hood? Turn them on theyr side or upside down?
Im afread from such deep jars when transfer  will be dissaster in my hands. Maybe need to use long scalpel handle. I use xacto blades.

I give a shot to this tek last night.
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/27189961
I dont have this brownie pan and i use big pot instead and stack jars. When unload pc agar was still in liquid form i let them sit whole night . So far work very good for me some jars are free from condensation and some have very very little. So far my best jars to date.

Christ, some of these are is bad bad condition. Any advice on em is cool. I can see which ones are alright for transfer but some are barely alive after the travel. I bought cheap cling, cut parafilm is on its way I know it's a shit show!

Nec-D (popcorn was just shoved into a plate - very pro)

Ttbvi again with popcorn ffs

Eungai whispy as ever look ok. Think he sent them on super low nute plates

Byron bay is looking alright for a transfer
That's medusa T+2 in a doggy bag when I ran outta para... That might be my first confessional lol

Fucking B-bar! 15 days and it was send out worse than that, that growth has taken a week I think

Komodo x ttbvi was sent out like shit too but she's coming back, that's underside as it's wrapped with the B-bar. I'm not unwrapping for a few hours but I can see the top and it's looking great.
Ingeli is whispy af but looks happy enough

That's T+1 and looking good. Indian graveyard.

And that's T+2 medusa in a modified sauce pot, which will go to grain soon.

I'll get new pics when I'm doing agar work later. This will be my first proper round of transfers beyond doing a couple cubes. I know what I'm doing, any cheat codes are awesome though - I don't fight fair :nicetry:

Lemme know what's up ya'll!

I don't like how B-bar is looking at all. It doesn't look like there's any growth I could get with my noc loop. I dunno if it's be best to wait and see if there's growth, I'll have a closer look but I suspect that might be bacterial.

Mail arrived!
My soldering station arrived! It's gonna be a plate work station to sit in my SAB. I need to attach the clamps on either side. It has lights around the magnifying glass too.

What a steal at £11

really difficult to comment on those plates, the combo of photo angle/quality and wrap method hurts. the indian one looks ok, I feel the rest are iffy and need transfers to clean plates.

Who ever is writing on those plates needs a smaller sharpie and to stick to writing in the edge of the plate.

cling wrap I find messy, using plant grafting tape off amazon I find is the right compromise of parafilm vs clingwrap. super neat and gets the job done without the price tag of parafilm or the hassle of clingwrap.
