it’s pretty early, yet. try to make the best of it. keep taking care of surface conditions until there’s enough fruited to do that for you. I have not experienced blobbing myself on my PE grows so far, so I don’t have much to offer as help - I use a pretty thin (~1/4”-ish) peat verm casing mix. quite a bit of good posts here on approaches to minimizing blobbing. congrats on your grow!

If I need to store a spawn jar in the fridge, do I close the lid fully?

keep it slightly more open than fingertight, if it can go up and down a little bit but is still essentially closed, it should be fine, the spawn needs air.

No filters. Rye berry wide mouth plastic screw on.

Not sure how long. One plate cut into 4 jars. Of the 4 jars, one fully colonized, 1 looks ready but when I flipped it upside down it didn’t slide but the mycelium is knotting. 3rd a day away (so two days since BnS at 70% 4 days ago)

The fourth is dragging ass to the point I ain’t fucking up a grow for it. So I made two jars just under 1/2 full and dumped the fully colonized jar into it.

SOOOOOOO might be looking at like 5 days would want to store it

Try to use a dedicated fridge if you can.

Fridges that we use for food have so many contams floating around. Not just from the varied Items we might store there. But the items we forget. Think about the moldy cheese or veggie gone bad that your fridge has seen.

Just a thought.

I'm going to be doing some millet prep for the first time in a while. I'd rather not do no-prep.

What's the go to? Soak then PC wet? Flash Boil? Boiling Water soak?

Leave it on the shelf.

5 days is no time at all.

Fridges are filthy. Likely even worse than the bathroom.

Oh no thats concerning. The tub has been stored at a consistent 21°c (around ideal temp) and I went straight to fruiting @ s2b.

Really hoping it will produce..

It could be the picture or it could just be my eyes, but looked dry. If it's not and surface conditions looks good then you just have to wait

How long since you spawned?

How is my jar looking? Probably contaminated but just wanted a conformation.

Inoculated @ 12-22-25 with JMF LC

Thank you guys! I trusted some online vendor's LC and this happened. My PC psi was also wonky since I wasn't able to set a good temp for stable psi until the last 30 minutes.

I have a bunch of plates going and will make more to isolate the good stuff. Plan is to do A2G

If your PC isn't at proper pressure, don't start the timer. Vent, wait for proper pressure to be achieved, start timer.

This wasn't your cycle, it was the inoculant. Or some clean work fuckup, but I'd go with inoculant. Never trust untested LC

It was spawned on the 13th so its been exactly 2 weeks. But it should be noted s2b was straight into fruiting conditions.

Actually i was thinking the casing(coir) is a bit dry too. Since posting misting frequency was upped a little more but not enough to mess hydration and risk anything.
