Fellas, how much pseudo casing would you recommend for jack frost? I just have two jars finishing up. I suppose JF is prone to blobing as it has ape genetics in it ...

Jf isn't prone to blob at all, treat them like normal TAT.
Just apply a 1 inch psuedo casing.

Couple of tubs of lucid gates started two weeks apart. As you can see in the younger tub, I’ve got one fruit that didn’t get the memo that it should wait. Constantly pouring water directly on the sub to keep its siblings from aborting.

Interesting. So that trait of the ape genetics didn't carry over huh. Appreciate the insight, tnx.

Jack Frost, @ 9 days. First time running these genetics, all I can say thus far is that it's a fast and strong colonizer.

A small box, 1.5L pseudo casing, and 2.5L mixed with 1L spawn at the bottom, which brings us to a 1:4 ratio. Looking good, maybe a bit aerial myc, hopefully not an issue. Will update when fruiting.

Can anybody recommend top layer thickness for OG TAT? I'm thinking thin ...

Same as Jack Frost or anything other TAT variety, hell they're just albino but they're still a cube and in the end they can be fruited the same.

This box finished it's first flush with almost 60g dried. That's from 1L of spawn. The fruits were mostly rather large. It grew really slow thought: 40 days spawn to harvest.

The small fruits on the right side grew larger withing few days ... All in all I'm pleased, took a few clones, hopping to get a bit smaller and denser pin set next time.

Does everybody experience such long time to pin and slow growth with JF?

Hey I think this is where I would ask this, but this is my first time growing tat and the veil is done and caps are curling but I heard they don’t drop spores(?) when should I harvest? Do they just keep getting bigger? Should I just do it now lol? Here’s a picture of mine

Why exactly are we waiting for the caps to turn and curl? My JF grew somewhat, maybe 5 to 10%, from normal opened caps to curled but the TAT that I just grew ... idk, didn't seem to grow that much in this stage.

And isn't this mostly just water weight anyway?

Nice flush!

I'm working on my first flush as well and want to get some swabs.

This is day 5 after pins were spotted. Total time in shoebox is around 16 days.

Repost from cult pic thread.

Yeti
first flush

second flush

This was first time growing Yeti, it's from a t2 plate pin. It reminds me a lot of the couple ghost cultures I ran some years back, but better yielding. I haven't tried them yet...but they look extra strong.

I've had the pleasure and good fortune of playing with quite a few TaT genetics over the years mostly from 2022 to 2024. Going through some old photos i felt compelled to share some of my favorites i did from spore.

at the top of the list is Albino riptide, one im looking to revive

second was my greatest yielder Nutcracker

3rd and last for this entry was the most picturesque and what i found to be the most sensitive, Jackfrost

most if not all my pictures were cataloged on and pulled from my insta, there are many. these i found to be the best representation of those strains without any added updates or text in the photo. Im new to posting shit here, still learning the etiquette and how to navigate beyond using it as a reference source, so i hope to add more over time.
