Thanks for the post. Just curious what is the best Tek for AIO bags once the instructions are burned for the best results?

I'm already doing tubs and shoeboxes, but inoculated an AIO bag that I had around. I'm tempted to just dump it into a shoebox or tub.

I have had a few weeks off for surgery and have gone down the rabbit hole hard. Kept me busy and entertained! Looking forward to reading the HHG!

And yes, I know I paid too much, I know the tek is obsolete (perlite. apparently I won't need a pillowcase full of it in the bottom of my tub), so have fun with it. I still got mushies out of it! πŸ„

AIO bags are just substrate and grain together, if you already have tubs lying around just break up the bag at full colonization and make a shoebox how you normally would

That's my plan with this one, was curious what the steps would be for a bag grow without a tub. Or is it proper to just tub them.

Question regarding a 2nd flush and using the shotgun tek with perlite
Asking for my Uncle who’s also using an AIO β€œAPE” strain
He’s gotten a good full flush and is now weighing the options for another
He has his AIO β€œHoodie Tek” and sitting in a mono tub

Attempting to give him some advice and feedback on possible solutions

Tell him to read the HHG, and you should read it too. I've read half a dozen times and I'll read it at least that many more. You don't need perlite, sounds like your uncle bought the same kit I did. πŸ˜‚

well my honest opinion about shotgun fruiting chambers isn't very good. I actually called them shotgun desiccating chambers.  Or scorching chambers.

I think if you are home to babysit it and hover over the top of it all day long with a mister I think they can work particularly for a first flush but, second flush is always going to be a challenge even for someone that doesn't have a job. I also just hate perlite as a product.  I spent 20 years working in the nursery industry.  That shit will fuck your lungs up I promise you.

Water tub schmater tub. Not a huge fan of that either mostly just for the pita factor.  Big sloshing fucking tank of water.  Not a fan but certainly better than the shotgun mesothelioma chamber.

nah i like doing the coir tub with a few holes to ez dial that shit in.  it never contaminates.  i use the same shit for my terrarium for my frogs ans sallys.  ive gone a  month on the same coir without it tamming.  i finally change it out when it starts getting gross with dead bugs and poop.

pretty hard to talk an uncle into doing anything once theyve set their mind on somethint or they beleive some vendor to be a reliable source of information but i do wish you luck my dude.

I pretty much said the same thing to him
I’m also trying to get him into the Shroomery instead of FB, Google, Reddit, Books etc etc

He had an amazing 1st flush and then he cut the top of the bag and placed into bin
Idk why he switched up like he did
Everything Hes done has been perfect and his first yield was beautiful

Thank you, this is since the 29th. Don't be jelly about the fruit, that cake already had pins when beef told me to remove the perlite and roll it in coir. I'm really glad I listened to him. I'll post more pictures tomorrow, I've got a super busy day and a show to go to tonight. With any luck with those will be ready to harvest tomorrow. ☺️
