MiB, just like ttbvi, tends to express itself fluffy on agar so its totally fine to transfer cotton candy-like mycelium. This does not apply to all varieties.

Upper fluffy 12 o'clock should be alright :mushroom2:

Others might disagree with this but imo misting pans is fine, sometimes they might abort when you do but, again imo, there is an underlying reason for that like a light/non obvious contamination issue. They do not abort if they are healthy. If in doubt you can always mist just in one corner or a single cluster and see how they are coping. Since you already misted you could hold off for now and check.

The long pinning time could also be an indication for a contamination related issue. Curious to see how those fruits of yours do grow out, they seem a bit on the deformed side.


I appreciate the advice! I'll give this a shot and keep an eye on them.

Well, my first time with pans didn't go that well! There is some kind of mold coming from inside the cake. I can see it all around the side of the cake.

I will trash this batch and retry :shrug:

I always leave the wedges on... but that is not a wedge, it's this denser formations Bbar does, (similar to) pseudosclerotia?
Do you have this happen on Bbar, 3A.M.?

Funny you mention that as I’ve definitely had weird hard lumps but they were solid white and never really paid attention as long as it wasn’t bacterial, will be checking next time though 👍

I had my first dose of TTBVI this past Saturday.  I took 0.4g, which seemed to be a "get your feet wet" dose based on the feedback in this thread.

It was nice.  Compared to cubes (my only reference atm), I noticed a smoother come-up, and I maintained a clearer headspace throughout the experience.  At no point was it overwhelming.  I was definitely high, but I wouldn't say I was tripping.  I momentarily saw the faint beginnings of closed eyed visuals, but it was fleeting and was never reclaimed. 

All in all, it was a great time.  Ended up watching hours of live-in-studio psychedelic rock performances from KEXP and remembered how much the Black Angels kick ass.

I've been craving a heavy trip lately, and now that I've gotten my feet wet I plan to take these deeper next time.  Maybe a gram?

I appreciate all of you for sharing your grows and experiences.  I wouldn't be here without this thread  :mushroomgrow:

Yeah I get the lumps in my bbar spawn too, they do look a bit like a pseudo stone.

Pans are very special and TTBVI does remind me of strong Lucy. Just make sure you had at least 2 weeks break before your next dose. Frankly, I wait longer, much longer since my doses are a little on the high end. Your brain needs time to rest and recalibrate itself. Going by the description of your experience, I'd try 1g next time and see how you like it. :heart::heart:

I cased at 95% yesterday, but I have a hunch the tub is dead. I put 3 cups of casing on a 12Q tub. Thick enough to cover the whole surface. Then moistened it heavily.

I am also interested an answer to those questions

I case at 100%, IMO there’s no harm in casing at 95%
Usually just do a light dusting, just enough to cover the surface where you don’t see any myc. Like 1/8-1/4”.

1/8” never more than a 1/4” @ 100% or shortly after.  Mist generously and either wait another day or put straight into fruiting as per Jcm4620
