Posted this to the stone producers thread today. I’ll level with you, it is going to grow out mediocre at best, but considering the general difficulty level of tampas, and I’m a rank beginner who started out trying to just neglect tek my way to stones in the first place, I’m pretty darn excited. In total, between two small lasagna pans, I might be able to ultimately get enough for one solid dose. :lol:

My first Pan cyanescens grow. On one hand, I’m happy I got any fruit at all on a first try. On the other hand, it was real discouraging watching trich annihilate the other nine shoeboxes. I’m sure this one isn’t far behind.

Oh well, I still have spawn left to try again. Maybe with cleaner substrate and more FAE next time. Live and learn, etc etc.

Very interesting. Yeah the pins I've had were definitely stronger than the mature fruits. I was happy to have em.

You're right that mature fruits is preferable but the ones I had were side pins constricted by the sides of a bag or came up with the cluster when I picked a mature fruit. But I was happy with it. Fun to try the difference and it was nice to only ingest 1g and be frying pretty decently. I can always grow more. It's like a novelty in a way.

This is strictly my own personal experience, but when I got some PE aborts a few years back, just .75g shocked me... crazy OEV for longer than expected. Fast forward to me giving my friends the same dosage at a Ween show... everyone was floored. They did not believe me when I said it wasn't even a whole gram. YMMV.


Dammn yeah I feel that 1g of B+ pins felt like 2gs. When you're not expecting it, it's very disarming. I'm sure PE packs even more of a punch.

Congrats on getting something on a high difficulty level grow! When I bought the tamps I gave the vendor a few more bucks to choose spores to send with my order. They sent pan cyan to be nice, because they must have assumed I knew what I was doing. Those pans went absolutely nowhere. Couldn’t even get myc.

All is not lost just yet. I had 5 shoeboxes fruiting, and the worst pinset was the only one that gave me a 300g first flush. There's still hope.

6 days after pinning is a bit concerning though. Not much to do but let it ride. Your tub isn't real cold is it? I noticed everything I had got super sluggish at 65f and seemed to take a few days to bounce back. I was away from home for 3 days though and I'm not sure how long the temp was that low either. Damn vacations getting in the way of things...

Thanks for the response dude. I am noticing growth but it’s just small. First few days were real fast. Been slow the last couple of day.  Last night I forgot to turn the heat on and it got down to 63 in there. Usually keep it around 73.
