The contamination Genesis is likely referring to is bacteria, which is common in LCs that are not carefully prepared at every step (the reason is bacteria is a lot more motile in liquid, so it just takes a few bacteria cells to completely colonize an LC). If you didn't test your LC on agar first, you might wind up with bacterial jars. Depending on the level of contamination, the effects can vary from it taking a little longer to colonize to it taking so long that competitor molds (e.g. trichoderma) take over your bulk substrate.

Let's just see how it recovers after the shake.

Some of my jars had gotten too far to get shaken.
That first jar I think I attempted to shake it, but it was already a solid lump like that in the middle so it really just went up and down a couple times and didn’t do anything.

I put this into fruiting conditions about 10 days ago, and recently have been keeping it in a Martha tent (about 36 cubic feet). Temperature has been about 72-75° and humidity at 95%. I run a 165CM exhaust fan for 5 minutes every 30 minutes.

All of these bumps have been appearing on the cake (which I originally thought were pins), but they're all quite yellowish and haven't grown beyond these bumps after about 5-6 days. They're appearing more and more around the cake. Also appears as though some fluffier mycelium has been growing on the surface.

Just want to make sure I'm on the right track and see if I need to adjust how I'm doing this. Thanks in advance!

But yeah, that looks pretty healthy to me. No discoloration or anything gooey.

If you ever feel like your grain is a little sus.
Toss it in a little shoebox all on its own and see what it does.
