My first time using the SAB I sprayed so much bleach I felt woozy for the rest of the day (and not in a good way)

It gets worse, I also used an ungodly amount of iso to wipe down the SAB and didnā€™t let it dry enough. Managed to create a fire ball after lighting the torch too close. It ignited my arms for a sec before it extinguished itself.

Spent the rest of the day marveling at what a dumb ass I am

Now I go dry in the SABā€¦ and wouldnā€™t you know, success rate has gone up

I keep extra buckets (and a lot of other random crap) in an outdoor shed. Even though Iā€™ve worked years in the mountains, sleeping in the woods with who knows how manyā€¦.thingsā€¦., Iā€™m still fucking terrified of two little ass spiders or dead bees or whatever else is in there to the point where I need to get over it. Or anyone have any flamethrower or good bug bomb recommendations? Therapy? Why do I not give a shit in the woods but I can barely reach in the front foot of my shed to get a bucket because one of the spideys might jump on me. :lol: *sweats nervously*

Itā€™s gardening season. I need to get over it. Seriously ā€” any ideas?

Not much to really help aside from releasing its natural predators. If you have a reptile shop near by go and find a handful of the cheapest lizards that are native to your area and release like five in the shed. They will devour all they find until there isnt enough to sustain them and then they will move on or breed the area.

Edit: Also, I keep Tarantulas and small spiders as pets. They wont bite unless its the last option they have to survive. they will exhaust every other option including jumping to their death from your body before they bite. Its easier to say then convince the brain to not trigger fight or flight. May the odds be ever in your favor.

I have a buddy that is one of those people that just donā€™t trip on fungi. Iā€™ve literally listened to him bitch for years about how they just donā€™t work. A few weeks back he took 7g dry PE7 and was like ā€œoh I feel a little something but no visualsā€!

So I did what any good friend with the ability to supply fresh mushies would do.


That was likely between 100-120 wet thick stipes and all. Now normally I explain to  people what will be a comfortable dose. Not this time! šŸ˜‚ I just assumed he would eat like 4 or 5 of them. He not only ate all of them but did a pseudo lemon tek.

Needless to say I got some really interesting messages from 5pm until around 7pm. Then his wife sent me photos of him laid out on the floor naked! This is what she text me this morning

Adding onto this. Aphids are a huge problem. So people have been known to buy ladybugs to release into their garden. The natural predator of the aphid. Every time you see that red and black spotted little dude youā€™ll realize how much healthier your garden is for it.

Confession: my first grow was an unmitigated disaster; i purchased a random book on kindle that had a few good reviews on Amazon and followed it's frankly incorrect advice (peroxide was da bomb, etc) to the letter.

My monotub of Trichoderma was showered in peroxide daily, thinking it could be managed, as per the holy tome.

Anyway, bad leading to good, i went online, discovered this place in the process and had to quadruple check as I couldn't believe it - the book told me to use boiled grain as bulk substrate.

So yeah.

man, i confess i sometimes regret writing the wheat tek. father what have I done? I've turned so many people into neurotic/obsessive wheat perfectionists.  i've had multiple people messaged me telling me they threw entire pots out because they had a few bursts. 

Meanwhile I'm over here skipping the whole soak step and just neglecting to even check it until its over cooked and full of bursts and im just like.  "fek et.  et'll mek a spawn"

I guess there's worse things than people making completely perfect grain but.. god damn, I think I need to edit it.  People need to ease up.  love themselves.  and quit wasting wheat.

I like it because it aims you towards perfection. Maybe just donā€™t stress it being a make or break it. Which I didnā€™t get that when I read it. I just felt like aim for as few bursts as possible. Try to do your best. I think you shouldnā€™t be so hard on yourself. Because itā€™s a great write up.
