Damn! What millet are you using?!
I’m now using French white millet but with my jars and small bags it’s pretty much spot on 2x or just under, first time with the larger bags doing no prep and I feel like it was 2.5x or over, not sure why that would be the case but my lazy estimates had it coming to just under the lid, it was definitely pushing the lid and expanded outwards:shrug:

I will say, back when I was no prepping, the millet would often surprise me by expanding a seemingly different amount from time to time. Sometimes the jar would fill completely and sometimes it would be about 3/4 full.

Once upon a time, I used tyvek from Post Office envelopes for my lid filters.

Then I moved on to plastic storage lids and SFD's.

And I really do feel that misappropriating USPS supplies is some grimy shit. We need to respect the USPS as an institution, and its workers, and use it as intended: to mail drugs around the country.

3 year old gill fragments scraped onto agar  @ 1.5% nutrient strength, 2% agar.
Scraped with loop then spread with cell spreader after dousing with sterile distilled h20 from a sterile syringe, in open air.

Easily the most ghetto inoculation I've ever attempted, why? Because I can *maniacal laughter*:rofl:

my first attempt at semps which had three baby pins just got trich almost two months after spawning. Officially ending my grows until after I'm done moving later this year. :feelingblue:
