Unfortunately your dopamine production will not be back up to snuff for 90 days after quitting weed.  My doc showed me some recent studies (was in person, don't have them on me) that cannabis can really tank your dopamine levels long term.  While cannabis is not addictive, your system can absolutely become dependent on it.  I quit for a while a year and a half ago and week 2-3 were the worst, but it got steadily better after that.  I'm going to be doing so again soon, and then I will wreck it six months after when I get the itch to grow again.  Know thyself :shrug:

Well I didn't go to the headshop.  Poured a glass of mead instead.  I don't usually drink because I get headaches from dehydration.

But the more space I can put between me and weed the better.

Still really irritated by the tent.  Man, I was so excited when it showed up.

Here's what I did grab.  Vivosun is having 20% off on eBay.  And the base prices are cheaper than Amazon (also Jeff is suing to kill Unions, so if that's something you care about).

But...  to use the tent now I need to invest about $200 more dollars for the right shelving if I want to use green epoxy (which I do, the shit's basically rustproof, and I want to get an edible business going.  So, I think it's a good investment).

Man, I stopped dreaming.  But living with ptsd for forty years I guess not wanting to dream makes sense.

I'm kinda scared for them to come back.  Mostly habit energy.  Had a breakthrough in therapy last week and things have mostly smoothed out.

Lots of habits still around though!

I confess.  I tried to shove my 35" shelf in that 34" tent anyway!

And then ordered a smaller shelf.

Iโ€™m sorry to hear that.

Tangent: Iโ€™ve been thinking about starting a thread to share various art therapy exercises to do together with folks here since they can be so beneficial - Iโ€™m not sure if there would be any interest but Iโ€™d like to put it out there since doing process art has personally helped me work through so many different things as well as to heal trauma better than talking to a therapist has.

I confess.. I donโ€™t know where to put said thread idea.. maybe under Physical & Mental Well-being?

Why are you quitting cannabis? Feel free to not answer if you don't want to. I am just curious. I have quit a few times mostly to get jobs, but also for other reasons like tolerance breaks.

It might be a tolerance break.  I'm going to decide that later though.

Anyway, I confess I've been using weed to run from myself.  Just tired of running.

For sure.  I started using it to cope with my temper and it quickly turned into an all day everyday thing that's gone on for months.  Before that I would just smoke in the evening as a night cap and I never had issues with tolerance or anything doing it that way.

I cut way back recently.  Haven't bought any in a couple of weeks.

I confess I hit the resin last night like a crack fiend though to get some sleep.  Now that's gone, so I guess I've actually quit and have to figure out how to sleep without it again.

i confess: i blame weed --atleast in small part--for my ongoing anxiety disorder.  Rather, its my own fault for abusing weed for 25 years.  i truly hate that drug now and I dont know if I will ever truly be free from it now despite having not had it in over two years.

I confess I had to start in the crib with my trauma processing.

Dropped four year old me off at Plum Village Monday though.  So we're making progress!

I'm with ya man, and either way it feels better without it.

I love the idea of this thread.. my confession would be doing MSS to LC.. got (mostly) healthy myc and wondered what in the heck all those rapscallions at shroomery were talking about.  But seeing the 'sweatiness' that forms on some jars leads me to believe they are struggling with some waccy baccy in there.

Let's see what else... sometimes I check reddit cult for anecdotal tips :eek:  sue me

I confess.. I ruined a perfectly good plastic tub to make a SGFC, then learned about water tubs.. so I tried to cover the holes in said bin using spare plastic & tape from a window insulation kit and a hot glue gun. Spoiler alert: it worked for a while but eventually leaked.

I confess I got some sleep.  Four and a half hours which is about average this week.

I woke up thinking about mushrooms and had to go check my grows!  Also weed withdrawal made it hard to go back to sleep.  That and chronic pain.

My hope is that letting go of the weed will also help the pain because I'll be more inclined to work out and get back in shape. The pain is generally w lot more manageable when I'm not sitting on my ass smoking weed all day.

I confess...

I was pasteurising horse poo in my Presto 23 (biggest pot I own) on the cooker.  It was running at around 140f and I was using a big metal spoon to stir it.

I dropped the spoon, which turned out to be almost exactly as long as the diameter of the Presto, and disappeared from view.

Poo water at 140f doesn't bubble and pop, and I was a bit mashed.  I plunged my hand in to grab the spoon, something I'll avoid another time.
