Don't know much about History, but i'd have to say the only presidents that make my list are:
Washington
Lincon
Clinton, he was just as much of a tool as any other president. But shit didn't get to bad under his "leadership", and he got caught fuckin around with an intern in the Oval Office.

so uhh, who do you like the and why.

Jefferson was the last great president, after him they all just sort of sucked.

Ugh why do you like Teddy Roosevelt?

A nice side effect, but he didn't give a damn about freeing the slaves.

Edit: ?In a letter to Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune, Lincoln wrote: ?My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and it is not either to save or destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves, I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone, I would also do that.?

Washington and Jefferson would be the best (other than all the great things they did and the freedoms they upheld, they grew hemp,) also Jimmy Carter also seems like a good guy, he pardoned all the draft evaders from Vietnam and spoke against marijuana prohibition.

"Penalties against drug use should not be more damaging to an individual than use of the drug itself. Nowhere is this more clear than in the laws against possession of marijuana in private for personal use."
-- President Jimmy Carter, August 2, 1977

As was the case when racial segregation was the law, it is time for America's legal system to correct itself. Unfortunately, reform voices are muted."
-- Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, November 20, 1995

Bush and Nixon would be some of the worst

The Watergate Scandal would be one of the main flaws of Nixon, obviously, as it almost had him impeached had he not resigned and caused even more distrust of the presidency. Also a bit of history, while Nixon was not completely to blame he did contribute a lot to our modern problematic "war on drugs."

"In 1969, shortly after his inauguration, President Nixon declared a war on drugs and crime.

In 1970 the modern "War On Drugs" is born as the "Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act". Title II (the "Controlled Substances Act" or "CSA") established 5 "schedules" of substances, with schedule "one" prohibiting substances even from medical use (Marijuana was placed in schedule one, despite the recommendations of the task force that marijuana not be criminalized). The CSA affects an absolute prohibition on many substances, and provides for federal law enforcement to act even on an intrastate level.

In 1973 Nixon reorganizes the various federal drug law enforcement agencies into the Drug Enforcement Agency, or DEA."

I'm an environmentalist. Without T.R., we wouldn't have the conservationist movement and all these National Parks.

Jimmy Carter had the right ideas, but he was ineffective as a president. Notice that although he favored decriminalization of marijuana, he accomplished no such thing.

He may have been ineffective, I don't know as I didn't live through him, but I know he did pardon the draft evaders from Vietnam, and even just for that he should be mentioned. He had the right intentions, and even if he didn't accomplish all of them it is much better than most presidents, who just want to get away with stealing as much of our liberties as they can while still getting re-elected.

I assume we're all talking about Bush Jr. anyway when we mention worst presidents?

President Ronald Reagan aka the Gipper was my favorite American leader, as I admire his ardent zeal against the Communist movement, and he armed the resistance in Afghanistan against the Soviet occupation.

Reagan put really put us on the map again, we were starting to get dwarfed by the soviets, and he gave freedom to so many European countries, hes definatly the best, at least in moderm times.
