I've spent a bunch of time looking in that park the last couple weeks, but have yet to find anything.  Suppose that might explain why lol.  Good to know they're there though!

I did happen to spot a little baby patch of cyans a couple days ago in my parents garden (lol). I've been covertly keeping an eye on them and trying to keep slugs away so they can grow a bit more. It's my first year hunting so I'm really appreciating every little bit of luck I can get.

Same here up in North Seattle. I've ran into 1 in past 5 years, he was a cool guy. Actually threw me a few for tax.

This year, wtf. Ive seen 3 in only two weeks time. Stupid hunters too. They had zero fucks for incognito. In this same area, someone is digging up all the mycelium. Not sure if they are transplanting or panic digging cause things aren't popping as early this year.

I can only find very general habitat information on wavy caps, but I still have few questions on under what specific condition wavy caps can be found:
1. does it need to be shaded area under canopy of trees? or open area with tall grass is possible too? any tall grass or specific kind of grass?
2. really wet area that can get small flooding? or somewhere higher up water can drain off from?
3. During raining days, or after few days of rain? or any amount of rain can induce pinning?
4. somewhere deep in the trail? or any urban landscape?
5. new or old landscape?
6. new or old wood chips?
7. hidden under fresh fallen leaves? or fallen leaves that are decomposing already?

I am new to the area, yesterday was my first time hunting in The PNW. These were the only actives I found. If anyone could suggest any parks or trails in the area that’d be great. I’m gunna just pick a bunch out tomorrow and explore.

Last day was much more relaxed and also more rewarding. No kidding about the crowded hunting grounds. If we dont keep spreading these patches then some spots will be at risk. About my last post, I was chased by rangers. I ran for quite some time and then hid under a tree soaking wet. I saw them waiting for me but I was more patient then they were. Had some great views Saturday though. This trip had me beat!

Sunday I found cyanescens (last photo) in king county near home. Funny I never see any on the coast.

1. does it need to be shaded area under canopy of trees? or open area with tall grass is possible too? any tall grass or specific kind of grass?
BOTH

2. really wet area that can get small flooding? or somewhere higher up water can drain off from?
?

3. During raining days, or after few days of rain? or any amount of rain can induce pinning?
ALL TIME DURING 50 DEGREE OR LESS

4. somewhere deep in the trail? or any urban landscape?
BOTH

5. new or old landscape?
BOTH, BUT START W/ OLD

6. new or old wood chips?
BOTH

7. hidden under fresh fallen leaves? or fallen leaves that are decomposing already?
BOTH

Hoping I helped buddy. Just keep searching. Remember when you had never had a sexual experience and everyone said it will happen if you keep trying. Same logic applies here, keep looking and I promise it will happen. When it does, it's going to be fucking amazing.
