The events of Jan. 6th did not affect the lives of ordinary citizens outside of Washington DC in any real way whatsoever.

Other than an uptick in bitching on social media and filthy rags like CNN about those damn 'insurrectionists' and 'coup plotters', not much has changed.

Dems can't pass their domestic terrorism bill because of the filibuster.

If they could pass major legislation, then it would affect us. But that's not happening. It will be even worse for them after 2022 when they inevitably suffer backlash from their retardation and lose the House/Senate.

Calling Jan. 6th a "coup" was one of the dumbest things to ever happen in US politics. A real coup usually involves the military and would see thousands of armed soldiers taking over the media, shutting down the internet, cutting phone lines, and seizing every major government office simultaneously. They would then announce their coup to the nation after taking over the media and broadcasting stations.

Not exactly something an angry mob of unorganized protesters can pull off.

In Turkey a few years back when their was a *real* coup attempt that took place, you saw the coup plotters in the Turkish military mobilize heavy military assets, including attack helicopters & F-16 fighters, to bomb their own government. Armed soldiers took to the streets and mowed down hundreds of civilians who protested against the coup. And guess what, the coup still failed and they were all arrested.

Many red states are passing laws & what not that will make voting more difficult especially within parts of counties/cities that are mostly dems....As well as trying to pass bills that will allow state legislatures to overturn results of presidential elections. Damn near all red states have been writing up and pushing for such laws over the past several months to make voting more restrictive/difficult to do.
