Didn’t you say in your other post in the pub that you’d just moved to Arizona a couple months ago after having spent 5 years as a transient heroin addict in Philadelphia?

Couldn’t the hope have come from not being a transient drug addict any longer? Also, don’t blame Biden if you can’t get a job because you failed your recent piss test. Not trying to flame.

No. I said I moved to Arizona a year and half ago. Which you clearly know since you clearly made a note to follow me from one thread to another.

I dont know why you are bringing up my piss test as an insult. I failed for Marijuana. I am a Medical Marijuana patient. My state has laws that protect Medical Marijuana Patients. But again, this has NOTHING to do with the Thread Subject.

its refreshing seeing the dialogue change here some.  Just 3 years ago when I signed up there was a whole lot of over the top threads based around "free speech" and "freedom".  Threads like why it's okay to to drop the N bomb and stuff. Stupid convos that bordered on eugenics talk.
Like really dumb shit.  It was mainly a few folks only tho and they're gone.

I'm grateful this place has been changing and people seem to be a little more reasonable here (plus the real nutjobs usually get themselves kicked out)

Yeah what Brian said is definitely correct. Especially in regards to the political board here. I can only take small doses of it myself.

But yes there's a high level of toxicity here at the Shroomery overall now.  Which really just kind of mirrors our society today. I frequent a few other boards/forums and they're pretty toxic as well. And guess why...because of politics (and these are sports message boards lol). Politics, regardless of one's leaning, is just nasty and ugly by nature.

Yes me quitting drugs would lead to an improvement, but the speed in which I have been able to economically recover--- I attribute to a Trump economy.

Everyone is entitled to their own political opinions-- But why can we not debate and discuss his actual policies? No one wants to do that--

I would love to actually talk about what Trump policies you dont like or agree with--- usually when you ask a Democrat this question they have to say "everything, hes a racist," because they are ignorant to the actual topic and can not actually identify something that is truly a bad policy

What policies were his good ones?  I'm kinda lost about those except for the ones that benefited the stock market

He continued to drone strike just like Obama and Bush and everyone else, he did not make healthcare more accessible, he did not pump jobs back into american economy, I'm just unsure what he even did that would be considered helpful to the average joe.

Whatever changes happened to help you get a better job easier I would likely attribute to good luck, stopping dope, or positive changes in your local government and economy, not federally influenced

Job growth was slower under Trump than under Obama in his second term, even before coronavirus. The tax cuts that occurred under Trump were geared toward the wealthy and will have major negative impacts in terms of revenue collected for years to come. Billionaires are paying lower rates than the working class. That seems obscene to me. Labor policy was skewed to big business and intended to weaken workers rights.

I like the fact that Trump made some noise about monopolies in pharma and tech, but he never did anything about it. Same with his stance on the military. He initially decried foreign involvement, but then he actually increased the military budget.

Environmental policy under Trump was even worse than under Obama. Trump pandered to the coal and gas industry while railing against renewables (whose importance will only continue to grow). The gold mine in Alaska, Bears Ears Monument in UT, gutting the clean water act, etc etc. All that horrified me.

Trump’s revolt against the TransPacific trade plan was probably the right move. The fact that he was the rare, most high-profile Republican to state that outsourcing to China isn’t necessarily a win-win for Americans was a good. Illegal immigration is a problem, but the wall was an incredibly stupid idea. All the consumer protection agency intended to protect the public’s health took a hit under Trump. FDA, EPA, even the postal service was under attack
