The chief magistrate does indeed appear to have a conflict of interest.
Nice work Wikileaks.

Assange has access to the best legal minds in the world, they are lining up to help, this could be a landmark court case.
I'm hopeful his legal team is able to put together a defense that will fuck the U.S. government good and hard as they churn back through the evidence.

Also hoping to see some useful assistance from MP Andrew Wilkie.

I wonder if he'll get a fair trial.  He's exposed too much wrongdoing in Government.  :shrug:

Probably not. He teamed up with Russian hackers (see first section of Mueller Report) and because of that reason alone, hes in big trouble.

Doesn’t surprise me. London raided the embassy, they have Assange now. No need for trumped up rape charges anymore.

Not to mention it makes it a lot easier to justify an extradition to the US if there’s no warrant for him in Sweden anymore.

Yes, however wouldn't that mean conspiracy? as there should be no link between the court and the government, which that magistrate obviously has.

I guess I'm hopeful as I pleaded not guilty to charges that I was told I had no defense against, and walked out of court after 9 appearances, grinning
like The Cheshire Cat with full respect for the magistrate/s along the way. (Had a friend with a law degree instruct me in what to do)

Yep, I stupidly do have faith in the law and I think what Assange did was in the public's interest, even if he did have a crack at a computer password.

Not sure about the ramifications of the unredacted information released but as far as I've read I've not seen anything?

He’s being charged with assisting Manning in her attempts to hack US government computers. He wasn’t acting as a journalist, he was acting as a hacker and he is being charged for it. If he had any clue about journalistic ethics, he wouldn’t be in this trouble.

You mean he was acting as an investigative journalist rather than a passive one who sits in front of his computer and prints whatever he's told be the Government.  You know, the type of journalist that you seem to worship.

Assange wasn't helping Manning access anything Manning didn't already have access to, Assange was simply trying (but failed) to help Manning get anonymous access to those files.

If you think investigating Government wrongdoing is wrong, then I think you're the one with 'an absolutely warped sense of right and wrong.'  :shrug:

Any documentation on this claim?  I don't see why Manning would have to hack anything, seeing that he/she had a clearance at some level and had plenty of damaging information.
