Here’s the FOIA request m. To assume the top secret information has anything to do with Wikileaks is absurd. You could hardy cast a wider net than this request.

It should be noted that three of the individuals on that list were part of a very serious counter intelligence investigation. But yeah it has to be about Wikileaks. Just ridiculous.

Why would Seth Rich be in contact with any of those individuals who "were part of a very serious counter intelligence investigation"?

Just a basic question to ponder. How would seth rich be able to access the emails of other people at the DNC? Do you know how to access you coworkers emails? Just because someone worked at the DNC they would still have to hack other peoples accounts. It’s such a weak conspiracy theory. Did he also hack John Podestas emails?

They worked for the Democratic Party and DNC chair Schultz.

You must have missed the Seymour Hersh audio above.

Someone from the FBI told him the FBI investigated Seth Rich's computer and found evidence that he was in contact with Wikileaks.

That's not a conspiracy theory.

i'm fascinated that enlil has such a robotic view of how the law considering he is a lawyer. The law is clearly being used for political purposes.

this is the first time a publisher has been charged under a world war one era espionage act according to democracy now.

If anyone's interested this is an example of the Assange debate in Aus.
It's the first segment on the show.
Journalists are not overly sympathetic to Assange here.

Stan Grant's eyes almost pop out of his head around 7.26 when he hears the response from one of the panelists when asked if Julian Assange is a jounalist :lol:

I agree with the view given by one of the journo's that if you're going to take democracy into your own hands you have to be prepared to take on the legal consequences.
Anyone who has ever laid it all on the line, in court, with a 'not guilty' defense would especially understand this.

It was pointed out that he was offered the highest level of legal representation in Britain but he blew that chance by hiding in the Ecuador embassey.

High profile lawyer Greg Barnes is one of Assanges allies, but in my opinion for that reason only, because it's a high profile case.
Barnes picks and chooses his cases, won't talk to anyone for less than 10 grand, and I'm not a fan.

If he thinks he has served the public interest and that his actions are unlawful then I'm sure a judge will have no problem in coming to the same conclusion.

I don't understand why people are so quick to look past the courts role in this case? Courts aren't into conspiracies, he needs to man up.

Assange exposed state secrets of the most powerful state apparatus in world history. But sure, a judge in a nation beholden to that apparatus will surely side with Assange.

Nah, the stupidly funny bit is that Julian thinks the law doesn't apply to him.

Judges aren't police I wouldn't start talking conspiracy theories just yet, have some faith in your own legal system.

Of course it has to go before a court. What's the other option?

Either his actions were unlawful or they were not.

No, the ridiculous part is that he's so innocent and done such a service to humanity that he had to hide for the last 7 years instead of stepping up.

He's a spoilt brat who's about to learn a huge lesson about messing with other peoples stuff.

And, I'm far from ignorant when it comes to first ammendment rights that this case will test.
This is his chance to make history, he won't do it by hiding out. He should be readying himself for a fight in court.

Of course it's relevant.
He has significantly informed people, but the way he went about it raises serious legal problems.

I don't think he should necessarily be jailed but he has to face up to his involvement and the only way to do so is through the court.

Why? Why does he have to face the same US government whose lies he exposed?

He’s not even a US citizen. He doesn’t owe the US government shit, which is the only reason he fled the propped up rape charges in Sweden. He (correctly) surmised that those trumped up charges were an excuse to hold him and extradite him to the US.
