PFun with PF Tek (sort of)

My old PF Tek jars have been sitting around for a couple years so I thought I'd try an experiment and test my LC's.

Pan Aussie
Pan Hausteca
Pan Bisporus
Tampenesis
All inoculated 8/25 with LC to 1:1:1 BRF/hpoo/verm.

Tamps are leading out in front the pans are kinda slow.

Interesting. huh, exotic PF Tek with hpoo. Had some time on your hands did ya?
I'd be really curious to see them fruit. That'd be one odd looking SGFC.

They'll be going in the GH but yeah should be interesting trying to fruit pans and tamps at the same time.

How big of a harvest you get from that? I wasnt even sure they could be grown un naturally without big difficulty, Im sure years ago there wasnt many people to of done that? You just experimenting with the cultivation of them?

Hell yeah man! It’s not much but any fruits with these bad boys are a win! Mine are still on grain hoping to move to bulk bags in next week!
Excellent work! So that’s a str8 brf cake?

I dont have a clue what im talking about because ive never grown any mushrooms but wouldnt they be more likely to grow in soil or grass, thats what they grow in naturally, thats what id assume anyway, if its not possible to replicate their natural habitat im interested in why.

Grass tends to mold in our growing environments, we don't need to replicate where they grow just the conditions they grow in

This thread is dedicated to exotic species. Most are very difficult to grow and many have no consistently effective tek. Replicating nature is not always your best course. In nature many of the species only sprout up in small clusters we are not trying to achieve small clusters our goal is canapés. so we must do better than nature

Good point, forgot they never really grow in large amounts in small areas in nature lol couldnt you go one step furthur than nature by multiplying the amount of mycelium in the growing medium or using loaaads of spores?

No it’s easy to get healthy mycelium. But inducing pinning is very difficult with some species.
I’m currently running zap subG and papuana indoors and it is not easy by any means.
