It might help but i think it keeps you from actually knowing if it's clean, just because it's not growing doesn't mean it's not there

When we used to dab it was out of a bag of mdma, how times changed lol :elmo:

I was reading that ferathers thread and there was like a million different recipes so I just thought I’d make some agar as I normally do but with a bit less ME and instead of using water just brewing a cup of tea and using that water, worth a try :shrug:

I’m still looking into that shit, what I want to see is someone using tea agar then transferring onto a normal mea plate to see if it really does ‘clean’ it or reduce contams chance of maturing to see if anything comes with it and not just hidden....only one way to find out....

I thnk it's like 3.25g black tea > 100ml water.
Also i remember him saying that it's not so much anti-contaminant as it is pro-mycelial.

Yeah idk bout the antibiotic shit. Lotkid and Bod got into it once and i thnk bods argument was that it jst hid shit. I thnk lotkid still uses the shit outta it and swears by it. But do not quote me, i am not quoting them.

Just about to pour then I’m going to bed, just a standard cup of Yorkshire tea (black) brewed for about 5 mins with my standard agar recipe, got some messy plates I wanna try transfer onto it tomorrow.

Also I found some libs today and might put one of them to it for shits an giggles :awesomenod:

Hell yeah Cat, experiment away! I do all kindsa odd shit, jst never tell anyone.

Actually i did basically the same thing you are but with grain soak. GSA was a bitch for me to get within acceptable nutrient levels when i worked with it. I thnk i ended up using plain black tea 500ml:1bag. Smells hella good.

When i was super green someone told me i cud use apple juice agar if i wanted. Habe yet to try it though.

It'd be my assumption that the phytochemical content of tea may provide an especially diverse nutritive cocktail for the mycelium to grow on. Like kombucha or jun.
Maybe a vague possibility that the tannic acid would provide some amount of antibacterial properties. Although, if like SCOBY, a heavy emphasis on 'some.' It could, then, also possibly promote certain bacterial growth.

Drawing some stretchy parallels, but that's what the night is for.

Pulled a calf muscle at work last night so I ended up calling in. Figured might as well use the time to work on some projects. I can still limp around with a heat pad tied to my leg after all.
So far I inoculated some cakes I made this morning with Pan Bispore and Tampanisis.
I'm also soaking grains for two jars, I have some plates of Tampanisis and Galindoi from MS that look clean I'm going to transfer from, But I've got some other plates that still look pretty good I'm going to put to grain for the hell of it.
Now I'm debating weather I want to pour some plates and do some transfers now or wait on the grain jars.

Literally spending 60 dollars on a 4 pack of media bottles so I can just presterilize 4 at a time, use one, have 3 sterilized agar bottles ready for use at any time. I use enough agar that’s it worth it in time cost

Haha, bought plates for the first time a few weeks back cause using jars sucks and I'd rather use my jars for cakes than agar anyway. Got 60 for 30 bucks figuring that would last me a while, about to pour the second set of 20 now. Found a box of 500 on amazon for 60 bucks I think from now on that's where I'll be getting my plates, lol.

Yeah i use to buy them 20 at a time when i only had three tubs going. Now i gotta get a case of 500. You make 50 at a time it dnt take long. I spring for the 120buck case of celltreats with grip rings. Them are tanks.

Media bottles? Them laboratory looking bottles with the blue caps? Them seem pretty cool. I like pro lab shit. Using my two 750 everclear bottles atm.

Yep, same brand. I only have the one tub going at the moment but I have the totes and perlite on hand to set up a second one if needed. 500 might be a bit overkill for me but never hurts to have on hand, lol. I'm getting into exotics I'm probably going to be using alot in the next few months.

I dab all the time too, but after some good enail dabs i really dont trust myself with things like agar

Lol i took edibles earlier for a migraine, it did help but made me sleep all fucking day (thc + cbd, i think 70mg thc and 20mg cbd)

I gotta knock up some plates with prints from around this summer, should still be good (most just room temp, but kept super clean)

Im getting down to like 2oz for personal use so time for some myco

The 500mL Pyrex bottles are the shit and handle enough for a full sleeve. The 1000mL would be nice, but can't fit in my microwave to reheat. So if that's your plan for the fridged media, double check. PC or pots on stove work, obviously, just take a bit longer.

Ya gotta take a shitload of strait cannabis (not hemp) cbd for it to kill pain, but it will. A month after i snapped my foot off in a motorcycle accident, i cut my cast off with some tin snips and wanted to go fuck around. So i took 2 60mg capsels of cbd oil from an indica and was actually able to run for about 30 seconds b4 the pain became too great. But then it went away. Tell you what tho, i felt that shit the nxt day.

500ml pyrex eh? I'll look that up. I though they were plastic.
