Awesome you all! Seems that the season has kicked off. :sunny:

I went for a walkabout to check some nearby forest paths, it was a success.



Most of the photos failed unfortunately, probably due to the damn moose flies, horse-flies and mosquitos attacking me constantly. But yea, new hunting grounds for me within a walking distance from my house. :cool:

Here's what I collected with some Pholiotina cyanopus.


Forest paths are great and also more stealthy than open fields.

Aye, they are so damn annoying. That short buzz you hear and you can bet it's crawling somewhere on you. I didn't see a single one last week either, but now.. Bzzzzt! Every freaking minute.

First hunt! Found in a field outside of Gothenburg. Only approx a half hour was spent - there must have been hundreds more.

I picked this little pile together with a friend today, most of the harvest was also picked in 30 minutes!

Nice pile knarkkorven! Is this from one of your forest paths? I've been looking at the map looking for some - felt not so sneaky in the field.

Hello

Went out today to a local forest trail and found these

was wondering if these are liberty caps or not, they were growing in the same spot and were dry as hell when I picked them, started getting dark just as I found these so I had to bail after 10 more minutes of looking around with no luck.

Any help is appreciated

But oh boy.. These can sometimes really surprise you with the potency. I had my weirdest P. semilanceata experience last night potency/dosage-wise. I thought just to elevate things a bit and consumed 15 of what I would call small specimens. I picked ten very blue ones from the pile and swallowed them pretty much whole, then after 30 minutes took 5 more. I had eaten normally few hours earlier so didn't even take them into an empty stomache. Couldn't have been more than 0.5g, likely even less considering the size and I got my ass handed to me. It felt like I had eaten a gram+. Not that I'm complaining - I had a great time, but this has never happened to me with such a low dosage.

I picked 105g fresh weight yesterday. A place that used to be a cow pasture but since a few years the cows are gone and the farmer only cut and collect the grass in autumn. I thought this change would disrupt the habitat for the mushrooms but it's still good. Last year I found them mostly by looking from above, but yesterday I had to get down on my knees and comb through the grass. Really hard conditions but it payed off! Some random places was really good, I could pick 10-15 right were I was sitting. Awesome! And I just found more and more and more transporting myself by knee forward. And lots of small pins as you see in some photos. :smile:

I only searched 0.1% of the area you see here. The place must have thousands of liberty caps.
