She just had an open floor to question Federal Reserve Chair Powell last week.

Powell is technically one of the most powerful men in the world when it comes to monetary/economic policy. It was her chance to drill him on monetary policy, instead she played like a good little girl with rehearsed softball questions. She's a political tool and nothing more.

The train wreck is such a disaster if you don’t laugh you’ll cry.

The left used to laugh at the religious right all the time especially when they held power. As soon as the left took power their sense of humor went straight out the fucking window.

I truly do not hope that the religious right wins.  That's what makes Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Russia harsh countries.

I just want sanity. Politics has all become this horrible freak show. If these four could just chill, and not be crazy, and let aTrump be crazy they would probably win.

I think a lot of people just want sanity at this point. Sanity is not communism.

Laughing at the madness is surprisingly effective. It doesn’t work on everyone. Most of the time though if someone does something stupid and they get laughed at they usually adjust their behavior accordingly. I do, most people do.

I mean yeah sometimes it makes you angry, but that is still new information that you can take into account and then the next time you’re.in a similar situation you have that to think back on.

Many times I am very grateful for being laughed at because it lets me know what is appropriate and in what contexts.

Politics has almost always had an evil somewhere.  America lacks an evil to collectively go after, for the time being.

That is one reason Republicans try to start wars so often.  It detracts from domestic issues that right wingers call political correctness.

I actually looked forward to see what AOC was going to do under those conditions.

There's plenty of tough questions to ask Powell in that hearing and one doesn't have to go for the kill. She did what was in the best interest of AOC, and that was playing ball. 

Her supporters are too unsophisticated too understand the opportunity she had and why she caved.

So, how much money did us taxpayers spend for these asshats to take a day off of potentially real work for them to take a vote "condemning" Trump and the words he used.

As far as i can tell, this was a public/formal hearing to slap him on the wrist. 

What actually, if anything, will this do?


Can i please have my money back?  Some of us need important things in life like food and gasoline....maybe some alcohol to get through this shit-show debacle.

is it the "religious" part or the "Right" part that scares you?  cause the left is largely just as religious as the right, except they only play the card when it suits their needs.  to think they are any less religious than the right is a misstep.

It’s just another brief entry in the voluminous (and still growing) public record displaying what a godawful POS Trump is.

The fact that his (sorta) criticism of neoliberal trade is so extraordinary shows how fucked we truly are. It’s the only good thing that’s come of the fuckwit’s presidency so far

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.
