yes that is literally part of their strategy, along with the idea of weakening their entire group as a whole by splitting the families apart. by destroying the familial structure it helps to weaken their population as a whole. this could actually be considered a form of shadow warfare and should probably technically be considered a crime against humanity, but well...rich people get to do whatever they want and right now they're mostly just banking on the for-profit detention camps being erected to propogate this abomination... so it is by nature an extention of the prison industrial complex meant to target immigrants.

this is why south park made fun of trump by comparing him to the clown from the movie "IT"

a lot of trump's support base also seems to feed on this cruelty..

How are they targeting immigrants?  Number one, these are economic migrants flooding into the US and then trying to claim asylum, that's NOT being targeted.

Don't want to be in a US detention center?  Don't go into the US.

That’s a poorly thought out plan that isn’t working . Trump has Trump camps full of kids , what are going to do now ? Execute them all ? Build more detention centers ?
Detention centers and treating children inhumanely  are not a long term solutions to a complicated problem .

How about people stop encouraging migrants to enter the US in the first place?

How about Mexico helps stop the flood of migrants into the US?

How about arresting the human traffickers from using children to help migrants into the US?

How about shutting down the asylum process and deporting the migrants back into Mexico or country of origin?

Building more detention centers isn't going to help anything, we need to change the whole process and completely discourage economic migrants from seeking the US for a first world standard of living.

Liberals in the US encouraged this rush to the border and then blame the existing infrastructure for failing by being overburden by the numbers. Trump isn't the blame here, human traffickers and US liberals are the blame.

What's wrong with deporting illegals under the law?

Do you want to have a nation state or just a free for all in the US?

All I said is being cruel and mistreating innocent children in Trump concentration camps isn’t working . No one is forcing Trump to lock up kids in his concentration camps , no one is forcing him to treat them inhumanely , this shit is on him dude .  This wasn’t happening when Obama was president,
Trump had all 3 branches for 2 years , every problem we face right now is his .

Maybe pissing and moaning and blaming everyone except the guy in charge will fix shit , what do you think ?

It wasn't happening to this degree under Obama because he didn't suggest getting immigration under control, which caused the rush to the border, followed by encouragement from Democrats and liberals.

That flood to the border is NOT Trump's fault, the logistical issues associated with the massive numbers isn't his fault.

Do you know who mistreated those children?  Human traffickers and the migrants to use them for possible asylum, not the overburdened detention centers.

You do realize that the detention centers are a humane manner of dealing with this rush to the border?  The US doesn't even have to entertain their application or processing for asylum.

I really need to ask you a serious question ,
Does it matter what presidents say ? Does it make a difference if they tell the truth or even make sense at all ?

Trump suggested  building a wall , maybe they were trying to get here before that happens .
Someone should probably tell them what presidents say doesn’t really mean anything unless your at his rally and your too shitfaced to care anyway .

Well if the camps are for profit then it probably wont be fixed any faster than the drug laws. Particularly if it is from tax payer pockets while they fight among themselves.

Yeah, don't worry about the homeless US citizens living in tents or in dire poverty. Let's protest what's the most political and popular liberal theme for the day that affects non-US citizens.

homelessness is a localized issue, perhaps the state has more insight into it's own homelessness problems than federal agents.

migrants children are being sent to dirty (for-profit) detention camps by the thousands.. thats a federal issue.

when do we stop name calling and actually do something to fix an issue? any issue

That's hardly the point here, so stop playing semantics. We can't save the world if we can't solve our own humanitarian crisis. Guess what happens when you try to save the world when your own house isn't in order?  Everybody suffers and nothing gets accomplished.

I used the word "liberal" to describe the people encouraging this nonsense in the first place, if that term was misplaced, it's my mistake.

"fix an issue"

Exactly, all I heard about this issue is how horrible Trump is and how it's "conservatives" fault that detention centers are over flooded with migrants. Where are the solutions?  BTW, letting migrants into the US is NOT a solution to this current issue.

the USA is not the whole world.. although some folks think it is.

i think its great that you have an affinity towards solving the issues that mean a lot to you.

but its not really progressive for any of us to belittle each other over the causes we stand behind.

we are talking about human rights when we talk about the detention camps.. its not immigration that bothers me, it is the poor treatment of children and babies and how someone is profiting from all of this. that my friend is despicable behavior and very unamerican (well.maybe not the profiteering part.. that IS american)

the only ones that suffer from not addressing the homelessness problem, in favor of immigration, are the homeless themselves.

i am in favor of spending $ on helping the homeless instead of wasteful spending on holiday celebrations.

i wonder what the cost will be for Trumps 4th of july party? perhaps that $ could be better spent on these homeland issues like homelessness? im pretty sure americans will still be able function if we cancel the $$$ wasting shindig.

It will be in the millions. His campaign should be paying for it. The fucking airport is going to be shut down for the two or three hours so the airspace will be clear for his flybys and blue angels. That’s 50 or more flights that will have to be delayed or cancelled.

His inauguration committee already owes DC $20 million they haven’t been paid. Fucking grifter.

John Kelly is on the board of directors of one of the companies contracted to run migrant detention centers. You don’t get any fucking swampier than that crap. This administration is a cancer.

The only ones encouraging migrants to enter the U.S. in the first place is the people who hire them. You are always saying we can't have any kind of progressive economic reform because the elites would never allow it. Yet you are fixated on immigration which could never be stopped unless the elites who benefit from cheap labor are stopped.

I'm in favor of allocating US resources for US citizens over non-US citizens.  I'm in favor of prioritizing US citizens issues over non-US citizens.

Again, the poor treatment of these children starts with the human traffickers and the migrants themselves, not over burdened detention centers that don't even have to entertain the asylum process.

Really, so all things were equal? I don't think so. There's been a massive surge to the border.
