Regardless you’re still dodging the question. “Because they broke the law” isn’t a good answer. Something tells me you’re against launching a giant federal police force and peripheral bureaucracy to go after people who change lanes without signaling.

Yeah, they're all angels with no criminals records.

They're not even US citizens, so they're going to have to deal with whatever happens. The worse case scenario, return to their homelands.

Did you just accidentally admit that their asylum claims are valid, being that sitting in a concentration camp is preferable to returning home? Whoops.

It's called from the liberal perspective. God forbid we deport illegals living in the US. The horror.

I really wish the left would care even 25% as much for their fellow US citizens as they do for illegals that commit crimes in the US.

lol here we go agian with "the left" and "the right".

left vs. right

or as "the right" sees it

wrong vs. right

the problem qman has with us is he wants us liberal leftys to care only for americans and every other non-american person on the planet can choke and die.

well too bad qman. we have love for eveyone. even those ones we may disagree with.

We can't save the whole world, so lets start with what we can help. Do you think you're better than me because you want to help everybody when you even know it's not logistically possible?  Talking an unrealistic game while ignoring real issues in your backyard doesn't matter you a better person, it makes you a potentially more irresponsible citizen.

You mean the criminal illegals? Or the other illegals? The illegal hordes or the unskilled illegals?

no qman, i dont think im better than you, but i do think you could use a little more love in your life. it sounds like you have a grudge against people not born in the usa.. and thats fine, you do you. i just dont see why we have to pretend as if America wasnt founded by immigrants or why you have to act like more people in the USA is going to have some kind of negative influence on your standard of living.

America is great because it welcomes everyone and grants people the freedom to do whatever makes them the most happy. if hating immigrants makes you happy, then you're free to do so. but hating immigrants doesnt make you a better American than I or anyone else on my side.

like at the very least why insist on making their children suffer? they literally haven't done anything you could possibly gripe about in their short little lives lol. if conservatives actually cared about the well-being of children then this should really bother them.

if it comes down to deporting them, fine. but ffs there isn't any need to add insult and injury to injury to injury. this stuff comes back around and people will find that out one way or the other.

So if I break the law and get sentenced to prison, isn't that also breaking my family apart?

i can tell you didnt read this properly so let me clarify it for you.

as american citizens they have support networks that would still be able to take care of those kids. meanwhile the illegal immigrants get no rights as a citizen and they'll unnecessarily punish those kids

your children in the u.s. would likely have family here to take care of them, correct? a friend or some close acquaintance? not just being left alone in a holding cell grouped with tons of strangers? even child services would be preferable there compared to a detention facility...

furthermore, cruel and unusual punishment is against the constitution and is part of the geneva convention regarding international relations iirc. which would make this idea not only immoral but actually illegal.

Let's start with the illegals that are criminals and should have already been deported. After that, we can work on others for various reasons.

"it welcomes everybody"

That's not the history of the US at all, for the vast majority of US history we had a very discriminatory immigration policy.

I don't "hate immigrants", I just want to have our current immigration laws enforced. You do realize we have laws in regards to immigration?

It sounds like you want the laws to change, go ahead and try to change it.

That's like arguing that people crossing the border should be shot to death.  "Nobody wants to see people shot to death, so why don't you tell people not to encourage migrants to enter the US?"

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

The overcrowding has created a humanitarian crisis, that was caused by people encouraging the migrants to rush to the border. Those people hold most of the responsibility for it.

The overcrowding is by design and incompetence. These people have not been convicted of a crime. These people should be processed, given their right to be heard by a judge in a reasonable time frame and if the government cannot meet these constitutional standard then they are free to go. We don’t hold non violent offenders in jail until their trial. We release them because they have not been convicted of anything. If you don’t like the rules the constitution mandates, then change it. The rights guaranteed in that document are designed to make governments job more difficult. If you have a problem with this, then maybe this country isn’t right for you. There are plenty of countries where the accused don’t have a lot of rights. Maybe that’s more up your alley.

I agree, they should be processed in a timely manner and then deported in a timely manner.

Can you stop with the strawmans and loaded questions?  It really doesn't add to the discussion.

Obviously, we're not debating legal immigrants.

Oh, you're talking about the detention centers.  I though you were talking about overcrowding host countries.
