Slow season ah

How have your spots been this season in nz? I swear there’s been less popping up at my spots, or there’s just been more people hunting who have found my spots? Idk what’s going on, still finding new patches but every place I go the grass/flax/tussock looks like it’s been stepped on

I feel you man. It feels like its slower than it was last year. Managed to dry 52.47 grams so far but all my spots are exhausted for another month

That's the joy of mushroom hunting, you constantly have to be on the lookout for fresh spots to harvest, that's why I spend as much time spreading mycelium as I do picking fruit. Between people, slugs and snails, there's a lot of competition.
