Mist above your tub and let the mist settle down, misting walls is pointless

Mist above substrate and let mist settle down, misting your walls just creates a better environment for side pins

I think just let the water on it settle and let it dry out, as previously mentioned evaporation of the substrate triggers pinning, let it dry out a bit until there's no more glistening, wait a day, then mist lightly again. If you're misting on a schedule instead try observe if it needs misting, that way you'll tend to the monos needs more carefully.

Yeah to clarify I was saying that’s how you normally mist, on your tub I would hold off for a little bit.

pins like evaporation.

I would put a light covering layer of verm on top and leave the lid cracked open or some vent holes opened up.  Check your mister, it should be a fine mist. You want a fine mist that barely covers your tub, 2-3 times a day.

I do one good spritz toward each wall--from 2 feet way away--on a downward angle--2-3 times a day.  If your tub is too dry, pins will often form near the walls, if the walls are also misted--making for an easy indicator of a dry tub.

You can stop using the fan, chances are it isn't creating FAE.

So, wetting the walls 2 to 3 times per day will create the proper surface humidity for evaporation to take place and pinning to occur? Fans are great to help with this if you're set up for it but what you are describing sounds like drowning your sub and making puddles along the walls beneath your sub. Your hygrometer is a liar and you need surface humidity not tub humidity. While you can't have the first without the second you can definitely have the second without the first.

I suggested misting the sides because if a tub is too dry, pins often still form near the tub walls --> Letting you know to mist the middle more.  Or, you can just wait for your cake sides to retreat and go from there.

I don't know what kind of spray bottle you are using but one spritz (trigger pull) toward each wall, 2-3 times a day isn't going to soak my tub and probably not many other peoples' tubs.

I don't use a hygrometer. I replicate nature.

Plus, your tub doesn't look like it is set up to be fan friendly.

Nature grows as many cubes in an acre as i can in a couple tubs. I wouldn't recreate nature.

Sounds like you don't have the natural environment for cubes. If conditions are right, nature will canopy an acre with cubes.

I'm more of a small grow myc hobbyist.  if I wanted volume, I wouldn't even worry about using a bunch of tubs, and would go straight to DIY long, narrow and shallow sectional containers.  6' X 2' X 8"

an acre given the right conditions.  I've seen horse poo piles at ranches covered in cubes.
