Colonization after pin/fruiting conditions established.

Hi. This guy I know is overall pleased with his pin set, but thinks he could have allowed for a better colonization of his casing layer. While he has quite a few good clusters and lone pins here and there, he was wondering if any further colonization would occur after pinning/fruiting conditions have been established. He's fully expecting: "....that's why you 'colonize' in conditions optimal for colonization...." , but he'd really like to know either way. Thanks for any help with this . -Che

one ur pins are set u just want to keep the casing layer even. patch spots of mycilium that lack hyphal nots to prevent over lay. i like to make sure the mycilium breaks thru evenly across the surface area. that usually gives me a more numerous pinset.

Thanks for the advice. There are tiny uncolonized spots across the casing (so the guy tells)...he says it's about 80-85% colonized overall, though. There is a decent pin set, but not a magnificent one by any stretch of the imagination.

Thanks . He still needs to pick up a digi, but can tell you he's pretty sure he doesn't have any overlay. He was wondering mainly because he has seen pictures of more thoroughly colonized verm/coir casings, and wants to make sure he's getting everything right.

Sorry to bump, but would reintroduction to colonization conditions or a lowering of gas exchange maybe be a good idea after this flush. Thanks.
