ok, i decided that i can no longer afford to smoke.....which sux, cuz i want a cig. and what sux even more, and part of the reason i cant afford it, is i have been supplying my brother with cigs up till now, and he wants to smoke. how long before i give in, and go back to spending anywhere from 150 to 250 dollars a month on cigs?

i hear you on that. its tough. i love to smoke but i quit cigs for good...i never became too addicted but when i was somewhat addicted and quit i had really bad cravings for about a week. cigs were the only thought in my head. it was horrible.
just do it man, its hard, but it can be done. chew regular gum or something when you want a smoke, or put a toothpick in your mouth. that might take your mind off it. good luck in quitting, remember, it is for your health! just do it!!

I have a problem quitting as well, I have tried many many times to put down the butt and leave it behind me but all in all I keep crawling back. I think this is going to be the 10th time I have quit? I dunno it erks me to think I don't have the will-power to do something that should be so simple.

I laid em down five days ago its hard as hell for me not going to lie to you guys but iv done it so far and going to keep going with it im determined to make it this time. Just have some faith in yourself man and you can quit as well.

First off, do you really wrestle? If so, thats the first reason to quit. B,, If I could quit after 34 YEARS of tobacco smoking (quit12/23/03},anyone can!  Find a substitute:toothpick like he said, mints, Vics vitamin 'C' drops{these are good}ask your doc for some samples of the nicotene inhaler. thats what i used.That shit tasted so nasty, that I quit using them after 1 week. If that doesn't work, try only smoking used 1/2 butts you find in ashtrays, or on the ground!That'll cure ya!  Now if I could only quit drinkin' BEER!  {doctors' orders ![hep C ]}

i used to wrestle, in high school......ya, ive smoked 4 cigs since i made this post....but that is WAY less than im used to....i went about 8 hours without a cig before i went crazy.....i guess im not the cold turky type.....we'll see how it goes from here, i want one right now, but i am going to see how long i can put it off....

Honestly, the want, or need to quit has to come from within.
I quit in November, cold turkey, and haven't had a puff since. Its still tough when I go to bars, but its really nice to know that I conquered tobacco.
Good luck. If you're gonna quit, then quit, if not, stop fucking around with yourself.

If you can't quit cold turkey, why not try nicotine gum? Or patches if you'd want
I never got into cigs, when I would smoke like 5 or 6 cigars in one night my throat and mouth would feel like I had scalding water in my mouth the next morning, which was nature's way of telling me not to smoke. All to their own though.

Been 6 days now for me and like Skikid16 said its gotta come from within you gotta litterally mean it with your beign that you will do it no matter what. Its hard but when you have that craving you know that your gonna make it no matter what.
