The reason the average joe doesn't care is because it's not anything they have control over or that they can personally use to improve their lives. They aren't rich enough to give a shit about the market at large.

Give them some health care, that would make America great.

I hear you.

But when somebody says they don't want national healthcare, defaming the morals of the other side is not admirable, imo.

I don't want this garbage health care.

Again, I would rather make more money and gamble on my life, pay for private healthcare, or use a doctor as needed.

There's plenty of evidence to prove it's not garbage health care, some poeple don't like to review the evidence honestly. Not much you can do to sway believers when they want to believe.

The difference is obvious. It's that we as a society already pay for health care for everybody, even the ones who don't have it through official channels.

Religion, it exists outside of my life. I pay $0. If I wanted to participate, I could pay. When I die or get sick or get religious in my own home, religion is charged $0.

So, the conclusion being, it's cheaper for all of those who already pay for health care to force all the ones who take advantage of the system to pay as well. This has nothing to do with Christianity or missionaries or morals.

If I have offended you by not spelling this out, I do apologize. That said, I know you are aware of this and are being purposely obtuse.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

You have a right to your opinion, as do we. The way you view our plan, is the way that we view your plan. Thousands of people used to die in America, because of pre-existing conditions clauses, and the lack of preventative medicine, which allowed diseases to persist to a point that they were far more deadly, under your proposed system. We want to put and end to that, and take care of our neighbor, without making a begger out of them, pleading for money to pay for chemo, etc.

You may be ok with that, but many people are not, and it will ultimately be decided at the voting booth. I would hope that you will weigh the pros and cons objectively.

Nobody wants to cast you out. We want to make sure that you can go to the doctor, like it or not.

And its hard for them to work together. The cultures vary from state to state, significantly. Dont you think the culture of Texas vs new york or Seattle are polar opposites? So i think when you have a country the size of the states with varying ways of live, it makes it harder govern and to make people happy

Rural Texas is similar to rural Eastern Washington. Out here they love their guns, and vote Republican. Urban centers like Seattle, and Houston have a lot of similarities, from what I understand, and generally vote Democrat.

You will find similar degrees of polarization throughout Europe, at different time period. I think the biggest factor is actually, usually the economic climate, but also religiosity. Look at the middle east. Small countries, that can be very difficult to govern.
