Yeah, that's how I feel about it as well.

My sympathies are really not that strong for people that put themselves in that position. If you want to put another person on a spiritual pedestal, don't cry to me about the abuse you voluntarily engaged in with that other person.

Obviously, the exception is young children that had no other choice in the matter. With that being said, I don't want to hear 13-18 year olds whining about the sexual abuse that they willingly engaged in, only later to have regrets about it.  If the religion blinded you at that age, you own it. 

I knew Catholicism was bunk at age 11 and refused to go to Church.

I have to wonder how you folks feel about 13 year olds who aren't part of the church, yet are preyed upon by older men, or conned into consensual sex. I'm sure you wouldn't want a 30 year old chasing after your 15 year old, consensual or not.

The reason we have statutory rape laws, is because the majority of 13 year old girls are easy prey for older men, and do not have the logical faculties to engage in informed consent. This may not be true in all cases, but I think for the majority of cases it is.
